Vengeance on Varos
I still think the old Dr Who programmes are scarier and more dramatic than modern day ones. |

Battlefield - Omnibus The Seventh Doctor and Ace join forces with old ally the Brigadier as Earth faces an invasion from another dimension. A sorceress from the world that inspired the story of King Arthur leads an army of hi-tech knights in search of the source of the legendary monarch's power - and is convinced the Doctor is her old enemy Merlin. With Sylvester McCoy, and guest starring Jean Marsh and Nicholas Courtney |

I've just been browsing through the Christmas Radio Times, and I was overjoyed to see the Paul McGann Doctor Who movie is being shown on Drama on December 21st! I haven't seen this since it first aired, so it's fantastic news for me!
Apologies if this has been posted about elsewhere here; I was just so excited, I had to write about it, even if it's old news on this forum!

Did all of the Sylvester McCoy series have that annoying 80's music on them as I couldn't watch more than half an hour of the show before I switched if off. And was Ace always that annoying?

Never watched McCoys era originally! But I quite enjoyed watching this on Drama on Sunday afternoon (apart from the 10 advert breaks!!) [I recorded it anyway
)Loved the re-introduction of our Brigadier and 'Bessie' - and Jean Marsh back again into the series! The Tardis walls looked like they were wallpapered onto the back wall! Had they lost the original 'roundels'?? Enjoyable romp anyway - 8/10 from me (And that's good from me considering I hated the last era!!) {which I never watched!!] |
