EE - Shabnam actress is capable of good stuff.
Just came across this on YouTube,
Have a look, Thought she was great, I really hope they do not let her down, I do think she can carry the Masoods without Zainab, however it would be even more good to bring her back as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku4vkqPM9mY |

Which I would be delighted to supply. ![]() Seriously though I think she could be a very strong character indeed if given some decent storylines. |

Rakhee Thakrar is a very good actress. She is natural in the role of Shabnam and believable. I would love to see more of her. I hope she's given a prime story line.

I think she's already shown how good an actress she is so far, as despite not having that many scenes she's created a well-rounded character imo. The writers can take some of the credit but it's her portrayal that's really sold it. They now have established character with a place in the square ready for whatever her storyline is.
As much as I loved Zainab I'm not sure I want her back just yet, I fear she would overshadow Shabnam, so hopefully Shabnam is developed even further before she does return (and I think she will eventually.) |

I much prefer this incarnation of Shabnam over the last one. She has breathed some life back into the Masoods.

Agree with the OP she's very much her mother's daughter. She has a great sense of timing, that puts me very much in mind of Zainab. Neither character is particularly pleasant, but I find myself laughing at both of them.

I doubt we would have got this version of Shabnam if Nina hadn't quit. The original Shab's was set for a big story where she rebelled against the Muslim culture. Then Zahra Ahmadi quit as she felt it was taking too long for things to get started. Now Shabnam is back they have taken the character in the opposite direction and made her a devout Muslim.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku4vkqPM9mY - Rakhee Thakrar is good in this. |

I must be the only one who isn't a fan at all, she is one of the weaker characters imo.

Love Shabnam, usually characters like her are despised, but she has such a likability and charm about her and I think thats down to the actress.
