Instead of being an indication of a spectacular performance, it's now become common place and the lack of one denotes serious audience apathy. It must be a dagger to any celeb who doesn't get one ... imagine being less enjoyable than Scott!!

I was surprised when Tess didn't say it for one standing ovation last night.

I did say to my wife that "Poor man in the front row was a bit late standing, bet he was thinking, "Oh, Christ, not again!!

at last someone who sees what i see and hears what i hear ... it's pathetic, change the record love. couple commence walk over to tess with folk on their feet JUST BEHIND HER and elsewhere. and yet, like good old brucie, she feels the need to say to the couple, who as far as i know can all see, 'look ... oh thank you tess, i'd never have noticed and i'm sure the couples are the same, there's no way they'd see people standing up a few feet from them.

I would think it is very unlikely that she reads everything off the autocue. People who have been to the show that she has some cards which I think you see her looking at. Why would she do that if she was reading everything off the autocue? They probably have notes of details to remember. You only have to look at the set and think where the autocue would have to be for her to read everything off it. Unless they have a huge screen on the opposite wall but I think someone might have noticed.
