Judy & Anton actually doing AS - revised list:
Alison & Aljaz - Charleston (Jenny Thomas' facebook) Caroline & Pasha - Samba (Caroline's twitter) Frankie & Kevin - Tango (ITT Mon) Jake & Janette - Paso Doble (ITT Mon) Judy & Anton - American Smooth (ITT Tue) Mark & Karen - Jive (BBC Breakfast) Pixie & Trent - Tango (Trent's twitter) Scott & Joanne - Foxtrot (ITT Tue) Simon & Kristina - ? Steve & Ola - Charleston (Steve's twitter) Sunetra & Brendan - Waltz I'm now quietly confident about one of Alison, Judy or Scott going out this week. |

Hmmmm...I really think that Caroline and Pasha MIGHT be in danger with this dance; I see them ending 3rd or 4th on the leaderboard by the end of the night and It wont be as exciting as the other dances that the rest of the couples are doing for Halloween..... I could be wrong though......
I wont be surprised to see them in the DO this week. |

Having sat through the godawful One Show I can start next week's list. If Steve and Ola are still in the comp, they'll be doing Paso Doble.

Just brainstorming some ideas for songs we haven't seen before:
Danse Macabre (aka the Jonathan Creek theme) - Waltz Werewolves of London - Samba Wild Woman (by Imelda May) - Quickstep possibly? Magic by Coldplay, although for what dance I can't imagine |

Last year Dave Myers did a completely terrible performance and his public vote was 3rd or more. Total madness. Which resulted in Abbey Vs Rachel. |

Basically, if Thom can go, and now we're on week 6, and we only have 3 men who haven't been in the b2 and 6 women who haven't, I no longer understand how the public vote is working. I'd believe anything this week. Actually I think the person with the worst Halloween costume will go. |

And your lack of logic leaves me very perplexed - what sort of jive Karen did with one celeb has no bearing whatsoever on what ahe'll do with a completely different partner. She can dance the jive, it all depends on what her partner's capable of doing and how she pitches it. Certainly no reason not to watch a dance. |

The AS is not a good dance for Anton in terms of survival (see last year for the most recent example). We will probably get confirmation of Simon's and Sunetra's dances tomorrow on the ITT training update (especially interesting to see what Simon will have; though more in terms of judges votes then in terms of audience vote). |

I don't know. I'd have thought Charleston would be Alison's best dance as it's all performance and will get a celebratory 'that's more like it' reaction from the judges after her not-so-great tango. Judy will be in hold with Anton and able to do lifts. I think those are both safe. I think Judy is in trouble when she next has to do a dance where she's mainly on her own - jive or something like that - and Alison when she's next supposedly in hold. Scott with a Halloween foxtrot looks to have been given the worst dance, but then if the voters feel that the show is manipulating things against him they'll probably vote for him all the more.
Basically, if Thom can go, and now we're on week 6, and we only have 3 men who haven't been in the b2 and 6 women who haven't, I no longer understand how the public vote is working. I'd believe anything this week. Actually I think the person with the worst Halloween costume will go. Worried about Caroline though .. awkward dance. Think the judges may save but then if it's against Simon it might depend on what dance he has. Oh Lord! Let us not lose a second good dancer in as many weeks

There's no way that the judges would let Caroline go over someone not as good a dancer as her (Simon), who'd have been in the dance-off three times in four weeks. Samba or no Samba.

But this is all conjecture because I'm sure she'll be brilliant

In all honesty think charleston a poor dance for Alison (particuarly with ola and steve doing one )her main problem is she has no lower body movement Charleston is all leg movement. I also don't think AS will be good for Judy she has not softness in her upper frame and if it is a foxtrot based softness is what is needed and goes without saying scott will be poor - I think it will be an Alison vs Judy dance off
Even though samba is tricky music will be key if it is a good samba rythm then Caroline should be fine in that dance |

I think Mark will do well this week, he is better at faster dances also he is likely to get more votes after he was so emotional last weekend.

A bit of a repeat of a list I posted on another thread but I would go for -
I Only Have Eyes For You by The Flamingos - for a ghostly Viennese Waltz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvzNeh4Mq1o The Killing Moon by Echo and the Bunnymen - for an eerie waltz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWz0JC7afNQ Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered by Julie London - for a romantic American Smooth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLjkpwyuhVo Temptation by Heaven 17 - for a vampiric tango http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTI2VC14Qts Ballroom Blitz by The Sweet - for a zany quickstep http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzpWJx3I2DY Back in Black by ACDC - for a gothic tango http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAgnJDJN4VA Strict Machine by Goldfrapp - for a Metropolis-y robotic tango http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeawPUpTHJA Lacrimosa (Requiem Mass) by Mozart - for a dramatic Viennese Waltz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1-TrAvp_xs Ooh that last one, Lacrimosa, would be fantastic for a VW I hope TPTB are reading this ![]() Do you think Dave and his orchestra could manage it? |

I can't see Alison's 'wonderful Charleston top half' being able to compensate for the complete lack of technique in her 'bottom half'.
The judges are always very harsh on 'no swivelling' contestants, so it will be interesting to hear what they have to say about Alison's flat feet this week. It will be the usual stock phrase that they use for the less able, I guess .........."You came out here and gave it some welly"........"I love your energy" etc. |

Anyone else watch Caroline on ITT and get the horrible feeling that her and Pascha's zombie samba is to 'Back to Life' by Soul II Soul? Bit of double bounce I suppose (though a tad slow).

Actually I would think flat feet/shoes would be a help to swivelling and not a hindrance....
We'll have to wait and see

I think the bookies have stopped taking bets that Scott is going to made up as Frankensteins monster. With lead boots.
