Madonna True Blue

Does anyone know why True Blue has re-entered the charts?

The singles from this were Madonna's best overall: Papa Don't Preach, Open Your Heart, La Isla Bonita, True Blue and my personal favourite: Live to Tell.

I was wondering that too.

I read on the Madonna appreciation thread that it was being offered for sale somewhere for 99p. Madonna's biggest selling studio album in the UK, good to see it getting a new audience.

It's 99p on Google Play at the moment.

A fantastic pop album

Okay cool. It's not my favourite of hers I prefer Like A Virgin and her Debut of her first three but glad to see her earlier albums being highlighted. Wonder if it can push 2M.

It is a very good album - the remastered version sounds great - but I could easily live without Jimmy Jimmy and Love Makes The World Go Round. Not her finest moments.

I hated this album although I loved her first and second. I never bought another after True Blue.

I like this album. My favourite songs from it have to be La Isla Bonita (one of my favourite Madonna songs of all time), True Blue and Live To Tell.

Classic album, one of her greatest and the google play album has the 12" remixes of True Blue and La Isla Bonita.

What album is Into The Groove from?

'Live To Tell' was when I realised there was a lot more to Madonna than I thought.

Stunning song.

Originally it was from the film Desperately Seeking Susan, but was then put onto the reissue (but it wasn't on my remastered version) of Like a Virgin.

You can get the original version (which was on the Like a Virgin reissue) on the greatest hits compilation Celebration.

Fantastic pop album. One of my all time favs. Plus it is her best selling album to date. 25/30 million copies apparently.

Lovely to see people rebuying or a new generation discovering it. I believe the album was essentially a love letter to Sean Penn.
