What is wrong with his voice?

he sang awfully, mumbled through most of it, it disappoints me coz in his day he was fantastic

It was awful....it was like boy george and the drummer couldn't be bothered lol

Sounds like he's suffering from something. Saw him live on his solo tour last year and he was amazing.

He was a beat behind the music when it came to the chorus.... where was his spark ?, no energy and sad to watch .

just because they are having a reunion dosent mean they are any good did the BBC check if BG could actually still sing?

He didn't sound very good at all. Shame really, I always thought he had a good voice but he appears to have lost it now...............

One of the best albums I've bought in years. Their backing singers sang on his tour.

He looks ill.

He sounded like he had an awful cold, is all.

And me ,heard one track on radio two and bought the album it !!

i went for a cup of tea. its sad to still be riding on a song thats more than a quarter of a century old and was never that great in the first place

It wasn't a good performance, he mumbled his lyrics and just stood there, not even moving to the music on the spot, most energetic thing he did seemed to be clicking his fingers towards the end.

It was disappointing.

Another week, another ageing pop star. They can't sing like they used to but at least the dancing to accompany them is good.

His voice was weak and john moss looked bored on the drums but at least micky and Roy looked like they were enjoying themselves.

Nice surprise but def below par vocal.

Either he was not well, or they were playing in the original key they played the song in 30 years ago
Which means there was no way anyone would hit the same notes after that length of time

Although George had no projection the backing singers sang every line too and smoothed things over. There's been worse.

Was Kevin a bit manic with his dancing?

Surely he was ill (giving him the benefit of the doubt)? You are right, absolutely no spark, none of the glorious enthusiasm of the original. A morose karaoke performance if ever I saw/heard one.

My first thought was!... what's wrong with him!... he always had an outstanding voice, but there was nothing that told me it was him singing!... and the way he was standing!, as if he had retreated into himself!........... Something looked seriously wrong!... I hope it isn't anything to serious................

I'd been looking forward to this especially hot on the heels of another viewing of Worried About The Boy, but this was awful. His eyes didn't look right, underneath all the black make up.I hope it was just a cold or something as I always liked his voice.

He looked like he was struggling with a very bad cold or chest infection - he didn't seem like himself at all.
