BT just offered me to upgrade my hub 3 with a hub 4 for £10.

Was it worth doing?

Thanks

Ask them if they will upgrade you to a hub5, it will be worth it then. Although hub4 has dual-band wireless it only has one Gigabit Ethernet port whereas the hub5 has four.
The main difference in the hub5 though is the built in modem.

i reckon even a 3 to a 4 is worth a tenner.

Don't blame you, if it was a hub5 it might be worth thinking about.

If you have BT Infinity it means that you can reduce the number of boxes and the power consumption - the built in modem means that you won't have to have the white box plugged in anymore - just the hub connected straight to the wall socket

(unless you are one of the very lucky few who can get fibre to the premises where you will still use the white box/modem)
