Well done Thom and Iveta on a fantastic serie even though it was cut short today.
At the end of the day, this show is mostly a popularity contest so I wished some people in this forum would stop vilifying Scott (Im starting to feel a bit sorry for the guy ; He is clearly working really hard and putting the hours in and that has to be commended IMO ) ; Its NOT his fault that the public likes him and vote for him every week.....

i'm not bashing scott because people vote for him - its the prerogative of anyone to throw thier vote away on a hopeless cause if thats what they chose to do... i'm not even bashing him for being a hopeless dancer (judy murray is barely better)

i'm bashing him for his apparently complete lack of insight about just how awful he is, and his complete lack of saving grace such as humour, resilience, warmth, (this is where judy scores way higher than he does).

as for thom, sorry to see him go, nice guy if apparently a bit dim, not a bad dancer, but simon was definitely the better of the two.

Actually it is Scott's fault, as he continuously canvases for votes on his radio show. That was fine in the beginning, but he needs to stop now. He's not very good, and he's not even a "so bad he's good" type like Anne Widdecombe or Russell Grant.

John Sargent had a comedy hook that kept him in, I cant find anything about Scott that would keep people voting for him-certainly not comedy. Clearly others are finding him funny.

Scott should leave next week. End of. With Alison to follow. Then for me its a toss up between the egotistical Simon, and the non-dancer yet lovely lady Judy.

Yeah I see what you mean.....I am starting to have Craig's Kelly flasbacks wiith him

Shouldn't he use any platforms that he has to promote himself I would do the same if I was him......

Scott is NOT FUNNY and NOT ENTERTAINING.

Sergeant, Widdy, Nancy, Russell, Dave Myers maybe even Richard Arnold, all worth the licence fee in comedy and entertainment.

All of the celebs canvass for votes. It's no particular fault of Scott's if the public want to see him next week instead of Thom or Simon.

I agree I cannot see Scott's charm - he does not seem to throw himself into it the same way that Judy does, which is her saving grace

Not when he's shit, no. It's getting to the point now where he is going to end up being saved over far superior dancers. Thom isn't much of a loss really, but he's a better dancer than Scott is.

Personally I'd be mortified if I knew I was rubbish, and was being saved over better dancers. I wouldn't dream of canvassing for votes if I was in Scott'h shoes. He's not showing much humility or charm really, "I want to be here for a Halloween" what? Even at the expense of someone who's better than me and deserves it more?

It'd be unfair if he had anything to show from these hours of training that he's been doing, but he hasn't improved whatsoever since week one. To then beg for votes and promise those that he's begging to anything more than an embarrassing outfit and a cheap laugh the next week... I don't think that's fair. But then again, it's only an entertainment show, etc etc.

If we all liked everyone in equal measure, the public vote would be useless.

Then he needs to do someting more than tout for votes; such as dance or at the very least pretend to enjoy what he is doing.

i hear you

at first i felt sorry for him, he seemed traumatised, and paralysed by fear, and these were the reasons what he said seemed so disconnected from what he did. now i just think he hasn't a clue. he genuinely seemed disappointed with his scores on saturday. like, what planet is he on??

Agree. I don't think Scott is coming across very well on the show at all. I don't get why people are voting for him. He's not funny or entertaining, he's not a good dancer and he just seems really boring.

Absolutely right about Scott. I don't like Mark's reactions either to be honest

Too true and this is the point, if people keep voting for him for whatever reason he has the right to stay whatever peoples' personal views. Obviously it is not his dancing, which is poor, that is keeping him in, so he must have some other redeeming points!

Why shouldn't he canvass for votes? He says he's enjoying himself, he likes the show and he gets to learn something new, even if he isn't learning it very well. And unless I am misunderstanding the level of power Scott Mills has over the people of Great Britain, I don't believe his asking for votes compels people to do so.

Since it is a popularity contest surely we can talk about why he's popular? It seems like a mystery to many of us.

Yup! I hate it though when better dancers are lost. I agree - he has NOT improved despite the long hours of training and relatively simple choreography.
