He could also be under pressure or feeling pressure from Joanne to stay in as long as poss. It's her first series and she seems competitive with Kevin and desperate to stay.

Not when he's shit, no. It's getting to the point now where he is going to end up being saved over far superior dancers. Thom isn't much of a loss really, but he's a better dancer than Scott is.
Personally I'd be mortified if I knew I was rubbish, and was being saved over better dancers. I wouldn't dream of canvassing for votes if I was in Scott'h shoes. He's not showing much humility or charm really, "I want to be here for a Halloween" what? Even at the expense of someone who's better than me and deserves it more? ![]() |

Imagine that subject at school which you were utterly shit at, no matter how hard you tried, and then imagine you had to stand up on live television every week in front of the teachers who taught that subject so they could announce just how shit you were to 9 million people. What kind of face do people want Scott to pull when he gets his results? If he smiled people would say he was deluded.

I can already see Scott Alison and Judy as the top 3... This series is beyond a joke. Having one joke act going through is one thing, but 3? I do happen to like Judy and Anton, but Scott and Alison need mercy killings rather than sympathy votes...

Since it is a popularity contest surely we can talk about why he's popular? It seems like a mystery to many of us.

I don't think Scott tries. He has two left feet. He is terrible. A good DJ but a terrible dancer.

The public vote for who they want. Scott is popular but if he is bad the voters have their own minds and do not have to vote for him, I have posted many times a way to end this. The top 50% on the leader board each Saturday, go automatically through, so it focuses the vote of on the bottom 50% the so called worst dancers. Viewers will know they all ( the lower 50%) are at risk, and vote for who they like. The worst dancers are at greater risk of going out as the good ones are saved and there less surprises. The dance off will have two lower 50% dancers in it, no good ones. People think the middle range dancers are safe and do not vote for them, this set up avoids thst, and also gives more passion to the dancers to endure their in the top auto saved dancers. This should continue until we say have eight left in. |

Why shouldn't he canvass for votes? He says he's enjoying himself, he likes the show and he gets to learn something new, even if he isn't learning it very well. And unless I am misunderstanding the level of power Scott Mills has over the people of Great Britain, I don't believe his asking for votes compels people to do so.

I cant stand Scott but people can vote for whoever they want but he should not be allowed to use his BBC Radio show to canvass votes.

Actually it is Scott's fault, as he continuously canvases for votes on his radio show. That was fine in the beginning, but he needs to stop now. He's not very good, and he's not even a "so bad he's good" type like Anne Widdecombe or Russell Grant.

I think both Scott and Judy are loving their strictly experience, and are both trying hard.
As a celeb it would be mad not to canvas for votes, you'd want to stay in as long as possible, and try and get the public to vote for you. |

Well in your view that means no audience vote as we have to agree with the judges comments and scores.

Well done Thom and Iveta on a fantastic serie
even though it was cut short today. At the end of the day, this show is mostly a popularity contest so I wished some people in this forum would stop vilifying Scott (Im starting to feel a bit sorry for the guy ![]() ; He is clearly working really hard and putting the hours in and that has to be commended IMO ) ; Its NOT his fault that the public likes him and vote for him every week..... |
