No the public are saving him and John Seageant shouldn't have walked either.

Nope this is democracy in action, and I'm not a Scott fan.

Yes he should, if only to get rid of that hideous Clifton girl.

No .. that's a slap to everyone who has voted for him .. they deserve it mind you

I don't think he should walk but I hope he's voted off sooner rather than later, it's unfair on the likes of Thom, Simon, etc...

No, people are voting for him so he's entitled to stay until and unless he ends up in the bottom two. Them's the rules, same as every year when we have the same discussion.

Q: Should Scott do "a Sargeant?"
A: No. Lovely Thom did his best but did not get enough public votes. Not Scott's fault.

Nope, Sergeant should never have stepped down imho, it was unfair to people who were voting for him. Plus I doubt very much he would have won.

Agreed.

Gutted about Thom, though.

Oh for gods sake if some fans are voting for Scott more than others why should he leave? Some people need to stop moaning because they are not getting their own way. Thom and Simon did not get many votes and were placed into the bottom two despite having three other contestants below them on the leaderboard. Why should those who the public are not voting for get to stay?

Definitely agree the answer is NO and JS shouldn't have left either. Probably the show's lowest moment.

True but made for one of the funniest press conferences I have ever seen.

No, if people are prepared to vote for him then he should stay in the competition.

We can go four more weeks without worry but then if Scott and Judy are both still left then there's a problem. If they both drop out at the same time it would be odd, but if they both continue then it harms the credibility of the show (as a dancing competition).

Maybe they can just go on holiday like Esther Rantzen?

You mean, should he get a contract with a cruise company to do speaking engagements half way through the series? I'm sure it would pay well.

Scott (or indeed Judy/ Allison) haven't knocked out a good dancer yet. Thom was ok, but he was never going to win let's be honest.

The crap always goes out in the end - look at how long Dave stayed and Anne and all the others.

Their time will come

I recall when he was allowed back on the show to do a farewell dance, the four judges sat there stony faced - if looks could kill!

Exactly! There is no specified order for departure - if it were according to the judges' leader board then why bother with a public vote. The public vote does as it says, and if the dancers that everyone misses so much after they have gone got more votes, then they would still be here.

More wise words. It is reassuring to see that the predicted meltdown on here has not been as bad as I had feared.

It has never been a proper dance competition, otherwise last series they would have handed Natalie the trophy in week 1 and be done with it. It's who entertains the public. Chris Parker made to the final in series 1.

It's not a dancing competition. It's a light entertainment show based on the premise of celebrities learning to dance with an elimination element based on public vote. Chris Parker set the tone back in Series 1. It has no "credibility" as a dancing competition beyond the people who persist in treating it as a serious dancing competition, which it never has been.

How so?

Besides, didn't Scott already do a JS last night (dragging Joanne around the floor).
