I think the problem with this game is that the most recent people will naturally be around the bottom and top, because people remember them better. I'm enjoying it though.

I'm amazed that my bottom person hasn't been yet... I thought that that person would be really memorable for being ghastly.

Not really tbh - everyone who voted has to have seen all nine series, and so they'll know about each and every candidate.

A very male-dominated bottom end of the ranking so far.

Series 4 not doing too well either. Then again, I'd eliminated 5 of them in my bottom 12 so I must dislike the series 4 line-up more than the average person.

I recently rewatched series 2 to jog my memory on it and I liked the cast quite a bit. Infact, looking at how I ranked the candidates by series, it looks like my most preferable series is either 1, 2 or 5.

My top 2 are from series 1 and 2, and series 2 is the only series to have more than 1 candidate in my top 10. Not bad.

Urgh, but he had no redeeming features with his personality. I'd find it a tad depressing that people would vote on looks. I genuinely thought that Michael was the second most hated candidate ever so to see him not in the bottom 12 is a shock for me!

I put Andy far down because I thought he was so incompetent and saying stuff like "Work till we bleed" was irritating. Rocky I can see; I hated all four of Philip, Ben, Rocky and Majid because they enforced a Boys Club at the start of Series 5 designed to pick on James and Howard (IMO, the two more competent boys in S5) and Rocky was in the middle of this, espeically in Task 2.

Nah, I eliminated 7 in Bottom 25. Series 4 had some likeable people, but tons upon tons of unlikeable people.

I genuinely don't quite understand why people hated Michael so much... I am trying to wrack my brains, but I genuinely struggle to think of anything other than him being a bit cocky...But It's not like he didn't know he was a shyte candidate

With regards to what someone said about a very male dominated bottom - I don't know why, but I always seem to like female candidates more than male ones. I don't plan it that way and I judge everyone fairly, maybe they just have more women than men who I happen to like.

My highest man is at number 8, and there is only one woman in my bottom 16.

I vastly prefer women to men in The Apprentice too. I love empowered, strong women Is that a bit weird?!

A lot of the men can be quite arrogant, a quality which doesn't really shine through as strongly in females, so perhaps that's why.

Its more because he got so many chances I think, with several extremely liked candidates (Notably Raef and Sara) getting fired when he definitely deserved to go. In my view, there were many occasions where he got away with mistakes that were simply never mentioned in the boardroom:

In Week 1, he sold over £130 worth of fish for £50 and was absolutely schooled by the lawyer - it was a huge mistake.
In Week 3, he was plucking prices out of the air for no reason whatsoever. It could have tanked the task even more than it did in the end.
In Week 6, he put Helene, Jennifer and Lucinda on a sub-team together and debated for three hours over a sodding apostrophe.
In Week 7, he cheated as much as Jenny and was just as responsible for Koshergate (Arguably moreso considering he was Jewish)
In Week 8, not only did he sell nothing, but one point that was completely ignored in the boardroom was that he recommended that they split up viewings geographically, which meant Helene couldn't make an informed decision on the designer dresses.
In Week 9, he completely ignored the point of the task (Just as much as Raef) and wasted time making a pretty advert and he told Raef to take the shot of the tissues out of the advert. In addition he (And Raef) left all of the task work to Claire.
In Week 10, he was an awful PM, completely failed at selling, made wrong product choices and made awful location choices as well as giving up almost immediately.

He was genuinely one of the most incompetent candidates ever, yet he got to Week 10!

I have even placed Michael above one of the winners

Mind you, I made my list from top to bottom and didn't do adjustments (when I saw that one candidate was too high on the list for instance; or perhaps too low).

For me, it was a combination of being likeable and/or being good at business and/or being memorable.

Woudldn't surprise me if most candidates in the top 10 are female. Think that 3 people out of my top 10 have a chance to get in the overall top 10 (for the rest of them, their highest placing will probably come from me ).

It's not his fault Sir Alan kept him in though is it? I think Michael was fine on a personal level.

I have preferred female candidates to male ones so far, but not just because I enjoy seeing women doing well. I think it's just been coincidence really - I have tended to prefer the personalities of the female candidates to the male ones.

That's interesting actually, how did you all organise them? I set all of the candidates in each series in order of how much I liked them, and then added them into the list of the previous series like that.

While my top 50 does lean towards series 5 and onwards, my top 11 has candidates from all nine series amongst their ranks (and none of the usual suspects on most lists, like Ruth, Susan or even Saira).

Nothing as intricate as that, I decided to do the list in one go (probably why I doubled a few names in the end ). Just on the basis on who I liked the most from all the series, if they went out at the interviews or in episode 2 or something.

So, some of the more perplexing high and low scores for certain candidates are probably my doing

I don't think he was as bad as Jenny C, Alex, Helene, Lindi etc in that series, but lets not forget that he helped Jenny to cheat in Marrakesh and he talked about how he would screw anyone over etc. But people's annoyance more came from Sir Alan saving him so many times I'd guess!

I did that! Personally, I ordered them into how I liked them per series, then divided them into 4 categories: (Like, Dislike, Mixed and Neutral) I ordered mine so that the liked candidates came first, then the mixed, then the neutrals then the disliked. I didn't find it too hard!


Helene?

My Top 10 has 3 men and 7 women on it, though I go as low as 14 to have one from each series. My bottom few were much more mixed - In fact I think 11 of my bottom 20 were women (Including the only woman on the list so far!)

Come on, Jack... What was so bad about Helene? She was actually one of my favourites from Series 4 behind Claire, Raef, Sara and Lee.

Haha, I think my love of Lucinda may be clouding my judgement here... but, she was always moody and downbeat and just glided through the competition without doing much and I did think she helped to bully (Though I do hesitate to use that word) candidates like Lucinda and Sara. In general, she came across as bitchy and just an unpleasant person who (IMO) thought she was better than the other candidates. I really didn't like her on a personal level.

Well she certainly had a fiery side and a foul mouth but I didn't mind that. I would strongly disagree that she ever bullied, or even helped to bully Lucinda or Sara, just disagreed with them, and she actually refrained from getting involved in arguments.

But, she wasn't the best candidate ever... She wasn't a great PM on Task 4 or task 8, and pretty much glided through every other task, so I'm with you on that one.

But I thought she came across really well on You're Fired, and actually I think Lucinda came off worse there... Remember Lucinda sniping at Helene from the audience?!

In fairness, all of the candidates think that they're better than the others. That's the whole point of the show.

Sorry, I didn't mean competence-wise. I meant that she considered all the other candidates as horrible people and felt as though she was above their level.

I suppose, but I think if you consider most of the other candidates as horrible people, you're probably right if you're a participant in Series 4. Not a pleasant lot, with the odd exception.

I don't think she thought she was better than them in that way, but she certainly didn't like many of her fellow candidates.
