UK streaming services?
I got a Roku 3 last week and perhaps I am missing something but I've found to cater for everyone in our house I've had to run a DNS proxy and use US services.
The UK seems to have things spread out all over the place where as with the US we get 90% of what we watch in Hulu Plus. My sons a big WWE fan and I couldn't find anything on UK services or did I miss something? All is on Hulu Plus, for football I got it live on NBC via USTV now for free and for everything else Netflix US has us covered which seems far superior to the UK version |

If you're using a smart DNS you could get WWE Network for your son too for about £6.20p/m he'll be able to watch every single ppv live on it too aswell as old ppvs, exclusive shows etc.

Yeah if you have Smart Dns already I'd second that WWE Network suggestion. As stated above, all the PPV's are on there free and a massive archive. If you have Hulu already for Raw/Smackdown then you're covered for everything.
It's supposed to be announced for launch here in the next month but nobody knows yet if it's going to be online like the US version or through Sky. As to the main point of the thread, yep, UK streaming services are lacking. Now TV etc are going in the right direction but everything is so fractured and so often weeks/months behind the Us airdates that if you're going to cordcut and not torrent, you need access to the US services. |

I had a look at the landing page of the WWE Network, $9.99 per month with 6 month commitment, not sure if they take all in 1 wack but it put me off. Hulu has all the latest shows such as Raw, Smack Down & Main Event. I'd still like to be able to access UK content to though on iPlayer etc is there any way of doing this?
I use my paypal and just pay $9.99 a month. |

You need a DNS provider (Unotelly for example) who support Iplayer and your other preferred services and will use smart DNS to tell each service you're from a different country. I'm guessing the one you have either doesn't support IPlayer or is one that tells every site you're in the US.
I personally prefer unotelly as it gives access to much more content. |

Don't know much about that provider but if I were you after your free trial I'd get a trial with UnblockUS or Uno as that'll suit what you're after. They seem to be the two most popular and reliable services.

Both unotelly and unblock offer free trials might be worth grabbing a trial from each and see which is best for your needs.
To get uk apps on ROKU you need to set up a uk ROKU account and link that to your ROKU box you would lose your USA apps too however you can easily reset the box and change to your usa roku account and vice versa. It may be worth you leaving your roku set to usa and buying a nowtv box for £9.99 http://www.nowtv.com/box just sign up for the 30 day free sky movies trial to get your nowtv account up and running, remember to cancel it though unless you wish to keep it. The nowtv box is basically a ROKULT but set up for nowtv so no netflix you do however get bbc iplayer, itv player, 4od demand5, nowtv etc. |
