So Channel 4 are doing a new spin off online featuring everyone's favourite 14 year old junior grim reaper.

I think I'll watch it before I comment, but its good to see Hollyoaks trying something a bit different with one of their younger characters. What would be really good would be if people would give it a chance before stamping all over it!

It actually sounds better than what the main show is offering.

I always have a laugh when they show Tom's smarter than most of the adults in the village.

Me too. I like Tom. It's great how 'normal' he is considering all the stuff he's been through. I'm looking forward to this, hopefully none of the ruddy Roscoe's will show up to ruin things.

BK said they weren't doing any spin offs this year and they where concentrating on the main show! Well looks like he was fibbing! I can't believe we never got HO Later this year but we get this instead!

True, but this is going to be a lot smaller budgeted than a full on Later series. The main point of this is part of Channel 4's overhaul of 4oD which has recently started showing short 5 minute original programming, as well as its catch up services.

Sounds far more watchable than the main show tbh, Tom can actually act.

I hope this ends with them all accepting that too much damage has been done to Nancy and Darren's relationship and it is better for all to accept that it is over.

Having them split up, remain friends and go in different directions with their storylines will be better to watch, something new for the both of them. They will always have the kids that connect them and maybe in a couple of years things could change and it may make sense for them to get back together.

But watching them ruin each other, break up and then get back together just for it to go around in circles is not good, it makes me hate their characters and I used to really like them.

I think I'll give it a miss

The day the curse reverses itself and claim's Tom as a victim, will be a good day imo

I think it would work better with a younger character; Tom's fourteen and pretty worldy-wise (in some respects anyway). Really it would need to be between Charlie's age and Tom's age.

I think they should do a spin-off of Myra-Pocahontas' Life.

Such a lad. I believe Tom did the stunts himself, the boy can do no wrong
I agree, I loved Tom putting Patrick and Rick in their places, after all, Tom's killed more people than any one else in the show so he has a right to be authoritive over those amateurs

I think this was a good test for Ellis/Tom. The next couple of years will really be crucial, as Tom gets into early adulthood. I really hope Ellis sticks around, Tom is already an important part of Hollyoaks history and I hope Tom is around for many years to come.

God no. Being a McQueen, her life would be full of affairs, blackmail and murder already.

Thought it was a lovely little spin off mini series. The whole Darren/Nancy thing was a bit meh, mainly because it was more of the same bickering we've seen in the main show.

Sure though with those skills 'Tom' displayed in the last episode he should be trying out for the gymnastics team not the basketball team.
