Today its 28 years since neighbours started broadcasting in the UK happy birthday neighbours.

i seen it when first started as my nephew was born when either Neighbours or H&A was finished..he's 21 now

It was half term at my school so after a week everybody came back hooked. I then had several people inviting themselves round my house each lunch to watch it every day as I was about the only person that lived close enough to get home and back within the hour!
I do remember it so well. Proper daytime tele was such a big deal. ITV started transmitting into the early hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays about the same time so Prisoner Cell Block H's anniversary must be coming up.
