Someone pointed out that In May she left Def Jam to sign fully with Roc Nation so it's probably fake because it has Def Jam's logo on the top.

But I hope its real even though those titles suck, I need some new Rihanna music.

Hope it is true

Although she had recorded an album for the animated film she is the lead for due next year. Unless that is a seperate album from this.

and yes Rihanna did leave Dej jam to go to Roc nation. I remember creating the thread for it.

Not keen on the fact that there are so many features.

I've not been a fan of the more recent stuff so I'll be interested to see what the new material sounds like.

There's only 4 features and plus she loves working with Eminem and Drake. Especially drake who is a good friend and a past lover. Unlike other popstars, she doesn't enlist guest artists to help sell her music.

While Rihanna's albums often divide opinion, i always enjoy them and they normally rack up thousands of itunes plays and barely ever leave my stereo.

Also, I think that's the week Nicki releases her album so I doubt they would go head to head.

She needs to go away for a lot longer. It only feels like yesterday that she released her last album/single. She's came out with some good pop songs, but she seems unabe to go away and take a break. I feel like it's a bit of a Rihanna overkill at the moment.

Huh? She's been gone two years. By her standards that's a lifetime...

She hasn't released an album in two years. She's been recording the new one since last last year and the last time she had a solo hit was early last year. I would hardly say that means it feels like yesterday since she has been released. Apart from the shakira collab, it has hardly been Rihanna overkill. She has kept well under the radar.

I so want this to be true.

I can't believe how thirsty I am for a new Rihanna album. In 2012, I was (like a lot of people) wanting her to take some time away (albums year after year is a bit much) but fast forward to 2014 and I'm ready for whatever she's ready to release

Tbh whenever her new album does come out I'm praying it's better than the last two which imo were both a steaming pile of turd.

Her last good album was Loud, and her last great album was Rated R. She really needs to pull it out of the bag this time for me not to completely lose interest in her

Unapologetic is one of the worst albums i've heard from an artist I previously loved. It was just inexcusably terrible.

Her last two albums divided opinion more than normal but i liked them. They were less commericial and felt as if they were focussed more on delivering a good album as a whole, not just worrying getting hit after hit like how it was with Loud.

I loved her last 2 albums as well. Unapologetic has some great tracks in the second half of the album. It felt like an album which she wanted to do rather than just a hit filled record. It seems ages since her last album. I'm not sure what to expect but I'm yet to disappointed by her.

I also agree Rated R is a truly great album.

I've tried to listen to Unapologetic a couple of times and I just can't do it. It's one awful album.

Totally. I'm also confused by the comments trying to justify it by saying it wasn't meant to be full of hits. Surely an album needs to contain good/enjoyable/catchy songs regardless if they are singles or not. Unapologetic didn't offer any such thing.

Wonder if this has more truth to it than originally thought esp as Nicki's pushed her album back...

I thought the same when I saw that this morning. The Nov 25th date could be true afterall...

Apparently nicki's was pushed back to allow her new single time to become a hit.

I feel that a November release is unlikely. Apart from this apparent leak there have been no murmurings from the Rihanna camp that her album is imminent. Maybe the first single could be announced next month but unless she's planning a Beyoncé style album drop then it's looking unlikely.

With the alleged scheduled X Factor performance there might be more truth in this then we thought. I don't want to get my hopes up but I've got a feeling we'll be getting an announcement some day soon...

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a single release but an album release seems a bit much? Unless she and her team are planning to spring it on us a-la Beyonce.
