Still fits with the idea that
Spoiler
. And I'm still betting (hoping?) that Clara's crying because Danny's dead.

Yay! Please let it be true! And no Moffatt timey-whimey vomit inducing finale where he is brought back to life/existence because of love (though I must admit I'm not sure he can be brought back to life as he has so far portrayed all the liveliness of a lump of concrete).

It's obvious this will happen as death has no meaning in Doctor Who these days.

Just pointing out that Romana (Lalla Ward version) had a hat with artificial cherries on it too .....
Now - THAT would be a turn-up for the book.

Oh god no! Not more desecration of the Dr Who lore. Can't see it happening though. And she would be called Fred anyway, not Missy, if that was the case.

As much as Moffatt enjoys referencing classic Who, I think you're right - I think Missy's history will be tied to new Who.

I must admit to being a junky for Classic Who references but it seems a shame that with the whole of time and space to play with we always seem to want the same baddies doing the same things over and over again. I should hope that and expect that Missy is something new. A little nostalgia is nice but let's hope for a continued stream of new and exciting aliens and places. (Although we have the sodding cybermen again.... though hopefully they won't be as shit as they usually are this time).

Looks good a lot going on. Wonder why 12 doesn't remember Missy. Could be a effect of his regeneration or she has changed her face. Only a few more days untill we can watch and find out.

Speaking of referencing Classic Who, this whole story has a very Tomb of the Cybermen feel about it.

Hope so. I was talking about that ep with a friend earlier in the week. Such a good one.
He did say the word 'tomb' in the trailer didn't he? Unless I heard wrong.

Over analysis follows:

From the next time trailer, does anyone get the impression that Clara is in heaven when she tells the cybermen that Clara never existed?

Also , is she stepping out of a room labelled RIP, Missy appears to be in the same /similar corridor when she says "You know who I am", judging by the glass doors to the side of her.

In the actual trailer released today, there seems to be a skeleton reaching for some sort of RIP switch on the wall in the trailer as well.

Also, the Doctor and Clara appear to be on a red glowing volcanic planet at the beginning of the trailer, hmmm

And is Clara using the telepathic circuits again, 8 seconds in?

19 seconds in, Doctor says the dead don't come back, meanwhile a humanoid being seems to be standing up behind him, looks almost like it's in an aquarium, quite odd ???? The very next scene it looks like the Doctor standing at the window as the camera pulls out to reveal the night city scene.

p.s. I hope the cybermen are scary, proper scary, I've never been scared by them, but the show is on later now than ever, I hope we get a real sense of threat!

I wouldn't say we're going to get Heaven based on that trailer
More likely we're going to get Hell

Chris Addison has reassuringly tweeted that Missy & Seb will be explained.

I admit I had a concern about that Three finales in a row with "come back next year for answers" will do that to a viewer.

After the shot of Clara crying, there's a shot of 12 and...that doesn't look like Clara next to him, it looks more like Missy.

Well, I am looking forward to this but I do have a problem with the Cybermen as to me the Cybermen in the Tomb of the Cybermen look so much better. The new Cybermen look bland and expressionless and are not creepy the Cybermen in the tomb and planet 10 looked freaky and that is what made them look so much more scarier than the modern stiffs.

And what the modern Cybermen lack artistically is counter balanced by just being gross, the design is not right and it should be improved, you know 'make them creepy' not 'smiley'.

But back to the Finale I am looking forward to it as we all are but what is it going to be like when we have seen it is it going to make us mad or make us really happy ?

I bet its just going to make us, real mad. (mad angry) .

Hope I am wrong but also the Dalek's were stealing the dead in Bad Wolf too so how about next series they write a story about the Ice warriors stealing the dead as well?

When I had one of their hands reaching for my neck at the premiere, they looked freaky enough
