I considered Missy being short for Mistress, but I never thought they'd actually go there!

I thought it was the Rani, can't even remember what happened to her in the end.

TBH I didn't really enjoy the episode and I'm quite disappointed.

Not happy that Moffat has decided that time lords can become time ladies, not happy at all, you know what will come next, a damn female Doctor

Wow! Fantastic episode. Even though Missy = Master had always been a strong possibilty Missy's revelation of this fact was (pardon the pun) Masterful. If I have one criticism it is that the episode was a few seconds too long. In my opinion it should have ended with a cut to black and silence as the Cybermen were walking down the steps of St Paul's. NO close up of the eye and no Danny making a decision (we already knew what position he was in and did not need reminding)

Think the trailer gave too much of the plot away really. Now I have to wait three weeks before seeing the finale! Off on my holiday next week!

For the briefest moment there I thought she was the Rani after all...

I loved that! There will be some complaints, but it was blinking exciting and very scary.

The cybermen scary at last, and the Master brilliant. Edge of your seat stuff.

Wow Gomez was great! What a brilliant performance. She's the best thing to come out of this series.

I would rather see it cancelled than that happen.

Can somebody refresh my memory - when we last saw the end of the master, didn't it end with a teaser shot of a female hand? I'm very hazy here.

It's a shame the trailer last week spoiled so much for this week, but I did enjoy that episode.

The time just flew by and had me intrigued from the start to finish

Hmm. Some good bits. Some poor bits.

Biggest problem is that I'm not convinced by Clara & Danny's relationship so a journey into the underworld as per classical mythology or Bill & Ted's bogus journey was rather underwhelming.

I'm not actually sure how to vote at the moment. I think I'll need to take the episode in context with next week's conclusion as if you had asked me 20 minutes in, I'd have said poor, but it all became a bit clearer as it went on.

The master reveal I wasn't keen on. But it could have been worse.......

Yes. I know Timelords can change gender with regeneration, but still having John Simm as The Master [not too many series ago], and now they're female. It's bloody odd!

That's the only drawback on the reveal. But I highly doubt the BBC would risk killing the series of by making the Doctor a female to make a handful of the PC brigade happy.

No it hasn't. That was pure classic Doctor Who. Best of Moffat and RTD with a side order of Classic who. But don't let that stop you trotting out the same tired old meaningless buzz phrase

And that is something has has been debated for about 30+ years now I even used to talk about it at school back in the 80's

I think this is great one of the best things they could have done
