Well done on achieving another success refreshing change to hear the songs done like that the gig at the roundhouse was brilliant, hopefully take it on tour next year

I saw it on the BBC Red Button, which I assume was a highlights package for the casual viewer, and was very impressed. The "aquostic" re-working worked very well and showed how well written their songs were.

Everytime I go for the BBC red button for this, it doesn't seem to be there anymore. Hopefully It'll get repeated on one of the BBC channels proper, like they did with the ELO concert recently.

Have checked out the tracklisting on the album release, looks pretty impresssive especially pleased 'Claudie' is on there, one of my favorite Quo songs. However, one song that would have worked brilliantly would been 'A Year' which is not on the album, was it on the live show?

Their worst album of all time, and given some of the stinkers they've produced since 1986 that's really saying something.
Also I read it was stripped back - really, with about 20 people on stage?
The Frantic Four tours were stunning though, really really good.

Suprised you've not said the worst since 1981.
If you're a 'frantic four' fan, Never Too Late was probably their last 'real' album.

Yes that's true the last real album, last of the good albums too.
Blue For You of course was the last of the truly great albums.
Post 86 saw them plumb new depths and they've pretty much been a bad joke since with only the occasional glimmer of what made them great.

I cannot argue with the fact that the 70s saw their 'best' output. However, what I saw and heard on the BBC of the acoustic stuff, I really enjoyed it.
Looking at the track listing, there's only 3 out of 24 tracks that are post 1981.

I am a big Frantic Four fan, saw them every year at the Glasgow Apollo in their heyday. I also went to the two recent tours.
Quo lite were never in the same league but (surprisingly)I thought this worked...not sure how the backing singers at the live gig felt being introduced as eye candy 1 & 2 though !

I don't know about their albums since the heydays of the Frantic Four, but their live performances throughout the 80s and up to the 00s were still very convincing and have always gone down a treat with the crowd. Their performance at Live Aid in 1985, when they had already recorded disappointing stuff like Living On An Island and Marguerita Time showed that they had lost none of their old spirit.

Shame they didn't treat them with any respect, I mean Again And Again sounds like it's being sung by a bad pub singer on acid. Terrible by any standard let alone a band with that many years behind it.
