Eastenders Gun Week..

So now all the gun drama is over
Did it really warrant all the hype building up to it?

I don't think so personally
I thought it was great at the time. The building up to it but after it has been a real let down

And as for this being Sharon's long awaited big story
Lol. Shes been an extra at best in this story
What's up with that?

Peggy's shock appearance... Another fan twist and build up
But she rolled over and let it happen and couldn't be bothered to visit her son in hospital lol

With the months of build up seeing the gun etc,, I feel that's all its been about. The build up
And not much else

I thought it a little silly that Phil's first day back on the square post shooting was treated as if he'd just been down the pharmacy for some cough syrup.

to be fair to Phil, he probably has had more gun shot wounds than coughs. He can easily shake them off now.

It was good that Sharon and Phil had more screentime and they had a big wedding week but I'm glad they are taking a backseat for now. There are other characters I want to see more of now. For example: Pam, Les, Sonia, Carol, the Masoods, Denise, etc.

It's a joke that Phil is fully recovered so soon after being shot for the 2nd time :/

It was good, bonkers fun. I really enjoyed it.

That'll be the gun that Sharon needed to protect herself when she was at the Albert...only she never ever took it to work with her. It lived in her make up bag beside her bed until it just happened to fall in the hands of her love rival.

Still if Phil hadn't got shot she would have left him...so all's well that ends well

Spoiler
and I don't think we've seen the last of the gun

I didn't enjoy it it was filled with filler through the whole week! Shirley pointing the gun out the window, repeated conversations and long scenes! I don't know why they panned it across six episodes! The only one I enjoyed was the one where Ronnie was running around trying to dispose the gun. A very boring long overrated week imo.

I actually really liked it! Some of the best episodes I've seen since 2010 tbh, just a shame abi, tosh and tina, dexter etc... Were all involved, it really brought it down!

It could have been epic but in the end it was a total damp squib.

Sharon's 'big revenge'?

I knew that it would turn out like this - Philth gets everything he wants and there are absolutely no consequences from him being shot whatsoever.

No psychological trauma, no slow physical recovery, no doubts about his continued abusive behaviour - and whatever happened to his serious heart condition?

He punches Charlie tonight and then Charlie has to beg to him later this week - just so the pitiful TPTB can show that he is still the 'Top Dog'.

I just hope that if I am ever blasted in the chest by a bullet from a metre away I waltz out of hospital within a few minutes like the Philth did.

It's a total joke - as is his complete 'invincibility'.

I didn't enjoy the wedding week. There was some shockingly bad acting from Letitia Dean as Sharon and the way Phil skipped out of hospital was ridiculous, especially at his age! This Phil as "top dog" business wore thin a long time ago. I was hoping Mick would put Phil in his place eventually after the way he treated Shirley but it looks like he won't. If we get some new gangsters who are scared of Phil I won't be a happy bunny.

It was rubbish.

If you have gun drama it has to have suspense. Where is the suspense at all at Phil getting shot, when everyone knows he'll survive with a full quick recovery.

Are we supposed to believe that Sharon would keep a gun in her drawer so Denny can easily get hold of it. It's understandable that someone would put it there in the heat of the moment, but she had literally weeks to put it somewhere safe.

Bollocks, none of it made sense, especially Sharon forgiving Phil for Dennis, life threatening injuries and then the Shirley bunk up very very quickly. I'd have preferred something a bit more psychologically truthful than cheap plot devices.
