Is Frankie underrated?
Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and joined because of the brilliant Strictly Forum you have! I was just wondering, there doesn't seem to be as much as buzz around Frankie & Kevin as some of the other dancers (i.e. Jake, Suentra, Pixie, Caroline etc.). She is by far my favourite dancer of the series and I'm willing her all the way to the final.
She has already proved to be consistent with a score yet (perhaps never) to fall below 30. I don't know, I guess I just expected unanimous praise all around upon joining this forum, I just was curious to know how everyone feels about her and Kevin?

Kevin I don't mind either, he's not my favourite pro but I think he's got a nice enough, outgoing personality and he's a good enough pro for the show- some people on here can't stand him though and he seems to come in for a lot of flak - I think one of the main criticisms of him are his choreography and that he has a tendency to over dance - there might be some truth in that but I do think some of the complaints about him are OTT. IMO he's done some really nice routines with Frankie.

I like her, but I think for now she is rated at her level. The paso was brilliant and her other stuff has been good but nothing a big a wow dance as that one.
And yeah I'm not fond of Kevin's stage school cheeriness persona. |

Is Frankie underrated?
Too early to say.
I'll reserve my judgement until they have to execute two dances on the same night, if she's still there, of course. |

I think, to some extent, she is going just slightly under the radar. Apart from the Paso, she hasn't had the drama of either Pixie or Caroline or the big personality of someone like Jake.
She's just a (seemingly) nice, quiet, somewhat unassuming girl. I think she dances beautifully and loved her Foxtrot on Saturday and wonder whether her scores might have been a bit higher had she danced a bit later on. |

Frankie is a lovely looking girl who can obviously dance well, who has an ADORABLE baby..& is partnered with one of the most irritating professionals imo.
I find his dancing so so (that jive when CC were performing) was so embarrassing. I also find him very annoying and hate the Kevin from Grimsby moniker...soooo annoying. |

besides the Paso Frankie hasn't been given a showstopper in either music or theme but as just got on with what they have been given and put in solid performances. I know it is not the popular thing to say on here with the so called many 'experts' but Kevin is a solid professional and his choreography for me is always correct the foxtrot had great content and many fellow pro teachers and dancers were saying so at the weekend. btw he has never been to a stage school in his life - parents school just a dance school.
hopefully they will be given decent music and theme soon like some are getting every week |

To me she's always presented herself as a very genuinely sweet and lovely woman who on occasion can be humorous. On top of this there's the fact that she's probably the biggest potential in the competition. I mean it's all well and good having a big and infectious personality (see Alison) but not having the talent to back it up.

Pixie isn't exactly a forum favourite on here but generates some form of talk even if it is dislike or frustration about her background. Frankie generates no form of talk whatsoever |

Frankie is married to Wayne Bridge ( a former Chelsea player) so I've got a little more interest than usual. I doubt that John Terry got a wedding invite though.
![]() She's very attractive and appears a nice, quiet girl. As others have said, she's technically gifted, but her dances generally lack the "wow" factor. I'm hoping she goes all the way to the final, but she needs to find a couple of showstoppers to win in my opinion. |

There is no question Feankie has dancing ability but I find her performances very bland, insipid and lack lustre. There is no real passion comes across as all very nice!
Pixie's performances comes across to me as very desperate and false. Her crying the other week at the end of her dance was very over acted in my opinion. Caroline I look forward to seeing what and how she is going to perform each week. I was very surprised at how well she has done in the show. Was not expecting to see her have that amount of dancing ability. |

The producers seem to rotating who gets the showy numbers from week to week and Frankie had her 'turn' when she performed the Paso. The last couple of weeks have been geared more towards giving Caroline her breakthrough. Ideally, I'd prefer the pros got on with their own music choices, tailoring their selections as they get to know their partners' personalities and abilities, choosing what will bring out the best in them and engage viewers. At the moment, too much is out of their hands and it is influencing how people feel about the couples in my opinion. |

nothing up with the jive other than they were doing it to the wrong rythm and that is not their fault the song was far more akin to samba than jive -
It just looked manic and ludicrious to me.

I think she is doing easily enough to stay safe, and saving the big dramatic dances for later in the series when she needs them. Not underrated at all, just playing a long game.
I think some of the music and costume choices, whoever chooses them, for Frankie, Pixie and Caroline have been a bit sugary and girlie - teddies and Disney, etc. For example, I think Frankie could have done a fantastic 'Louise Brooks'-looking flapper Charleston and would have looked absolutely amazing, and I'm still disappointed by the Happy Days one. But I'm sure they are vote-winning choices. And she's with Kevin, who is massively popular. (OK not so much on this forum, but I'm sure he is generally.) |

I think she may be. I enjoyed her dance the most this week, though I can see why Pixie came top - she was excellent.
Kevin seems to rile some posters for some reason, perhaps it's a hangover from his partnering 'Marmite' contestant Susanna Reid last year? I really like him, but then I quite like all the pros - even the 'hated' Karen and Janette! |

To me, over the course of weeks 1 - 5, she is at the top of my leaderboard.
