I would never subject the nation to yet another week of this atrocity.

To actually admit they've never voted for anyone?

I've never voted, I enjoy it as a "show."

They all have their good and bad points.

Me too actually .

I will make sure to throw him a couple of votes this week and I never thought I would say that.

Some people are :
1-taking this show way too seriously
2-taking their dislike of him too far.

People may be muddling up annoyance at the Scott voters with dislike of Scott. I do not have anything against him as a person or a DJ. Just bewildered by why people are voting for him. The consequence of massive support for those at the bottom of the board is people with real potential who are improving end up in the dance off.

If he were charming, comedic, enthusiastic, bolshy or outrageous one could understand what might be attracting the votes. Yet he is none of these!

I agree I don't listen to his radio show - although I've seen bits of him on telly, I don't know enough about him to like or dislike him.

All I know is from seeing him on strictly he does nothing for me - I'm not outraged that he's still there but I do wonder why people are voting for him when he clearly doesn't look like he's enjoying the experience.

David Myers wasn't very good last year but at least he did do one entertaining performance and he looked like he was having a whole of a time with Karen so you sort of understood why people were voting for him.

That's your perogative and should you have a favourite who goes out to one of the top four in the dance-off because Scott has got voted into the next round, you'll have nothing to say about it,right?

I voted for him, and I will continue to vote for him until I get to see him stomp, twitch and spasm his way through a wide-eyed, sweating paso.

Thom was my n1 favorite this year and he got voted out last week and NOT ONCE did I complain about Scott still being in the competition but rather said multiple times in other threads that Scott deserves to stay because the public wants him to stay (& because he is actually trying really hard; putting the hours in.... ) ...and Im still baffled at the vitriol I see directed towards him elsewhere......(note I said elsewhere NOT DS )

This week, I am voting for Steve and Scott

I would love it, love it, if he suddenly comes out one week and produces an absolutely incredible routine just to to see the shock on this forum.

I have to admit I have voted for him on one of the weeks - and I may well next week since some of the things said about him on here by some people have been so vindictive and personal that I quite fancy annoying those people by voting him through again.

And I was someone who liked Thom and wanted him to stay in the competition to be clear.

I'll vote if he says he's going to do an Argentine Tango. The dreadful kicking Joanne's legs will receive shall have some viewers questioning if it's Movie Week 2 and they're doing a faithful reenactment of Alan Clarke's Scum.

Well that's fine and dandy, but just theoretically, suppose a lot of Thom supporters didn't vote for him last weekend because they gave all their votes to Scott to spite those 'hating on him' and as a result pushed Thom into the dance-off.
Would you not think that was a silly waste?

I've voted for him because I'm enjoying seeing him "dance". And for Judy because I'm enjoying her personality appearing from behind her rather dour public image.

Don't really get the thing about being sorry because so-and-so got knocked out, yes, I'm sorry when ANYONE gets knocked out - apart from Anne Widdecombe - but we're told to vote for our favourites and the people we want to see next week. You can't vote for everyone.

I think the only person I've slightly regretted voting for was Sophie E-B, I voted for her week in week out in the hope that the next dance would be as good as the Charleston, but it never was.

These things motivate me to vote or have motivated me in the past:

a) My God, Pasha's sexy...
b) Pure spontaneous joy expressed by the dancers in the dance that make you feel momentarily involved in the whole thing. Joy is infectious
c) Oh my... Colin Salmon's voice was sexy
d) Respect for a guy's spirit and beliefs (lovely Steve)
e) Enjoyment of the partnership
f) Kindness to a forum pal
g) Anya, Anya, Anya!
h) Faith -- feeling the contestant still has something to give if they survive another week

Never:

Pity
Curiosity
Revenge against forum views

I don't find that latter group motivates me one jot to vote. I can imagine voting for Judy for reasons f), h) or maybe b), but there's nothing about Scott's dancing or profile on the show that could make me want to vote for him. No offence to fans of his radio show, but he's not good on SCD and I'm not sure it's doing him any good
