As it's a dancing competition and he's staying in at the expense of better dancers and the production team need to stop protecting him by showing him in a good light in training VTs.

Well they wont. Scott plugs away at Strictly constantly when on the radio resulting in more viewers for the show which is what the BBC want. Scott is doing a fine job as far as I can see.(He cant dance though!)

If Scott seemed at all committed to what he was doing I would not mind his awful dancing it is his apparent indifference that drives me nuts.

Sorry, but I'm not sure it is really a dancing competition, it's much more of a cross between a popularity contest and a camp (dahling) pantomime based around dancing and wedding disco songs. The VTs are part of this - love them or hate them - as are the goodies and baddies, the happy ones and crying ones .

The way the voting works it is hard to get someone out if they have a bank of voters (however they muster them) behind them.

All scott and judy have to do is get enough votes to pick off the mid-rangers who fall down the leaderboard, and they will be safe for a few weeks yet. SAME WITH ALISON. MIND YOU, TO BE FAIR THEY ARE THE TRUE NON DANCERS of the field!

AGREED...look at the way abbey (I'm a mum from Liverpool, me) clancey milked the public for votes AFTER she ended up in the dance off with rachel riley. NATALIE NEVER DID LEARN THAT TRICK, did she?

It's a public vote and people can vote for whatever reason they like, and none of the celebs should be made to feel guilty for staying in. You only win a bauble. It's meant to be a bit of fun. If people are enjoying Scott then good for him.

My Mum is voting for Judy because she loves her and Anton and their partnership. In the last two weeks, she's enjoyed Judy and Anton more than almost anyone and she wants to see what she will do next. She's also voting for Jake, who she wants to win. I'm sure she'll stop voting for Judy eventually, but at the moment that's who she likes. So she's right to vote for them. And people who vote for Scott presumably love him and Joanne.

The public aren't being asked to be objective and behave like judges in an international dance contest. The public are asked to vote for whom they would enjoy seeing the most next week and everyone will have different criteria for that.

Are you sure you understand these forums ccc? Such common sense will get you nowhere. Nowhere, I tell you.

I don't get the impression that Scott is not committed or that he is indifferent to what he is doing. It would seem that he puts in as many hours in training as everyone else. Sadly, he just has no natural talent when it comes to dancing.

Sounds like he's manipulating for votes tbh, he's like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

On the other hand Thom shouldn't have gone, the public have obviously been taken in by press articles and based their view on them. Thom was obviously a media scapegoat hence why he's gone.
