I was reading a post earlier where Someone said that the practice of "going
Down the Vic and looking for jobs in the local paper" was an antiquated cliche in EE that bears no correlation to the modern world & it struck me- no one in EE really uses social media!
We regularly see characters text each other but this is a technology over a decade old (despite still being popular).weve seen a version of Skype on EE, but there's no mention of facebook or Twitter. Is this because they are private co's & EE would have issues with this??
It struck me that the young 'uns in EE never fb or Tweet each other. Likewise, in the cafe you never see anyone watching, or playing games on an iPad even though they are commonplace in cafes & communal places in the real world.
Do other soaps feature social media? I gather Hollyoaks does, with the "message on the screen" type scenario of communicating it, which I don't mind personally but would look weird on EE.
this is one area where EE is still stuck in the 90's
