Yes - it started in series 9, when Aliona was partnered by Harry Judd. Aliona was putting a lot of out-of-hold "faffing around" in her routines, something which wasn't so prevalent then as it is now. Len wanted to see proper dance content, of course.
Anyway, it was either in round 4, when they danced a Waltz, or round 5, a Tango, that Len blew up and told Aliona in no uncertain terms he was getting fed up with the faffing, and that he'd be marking them down. Then, in the following week's ITT, when Aliona was asked to comment, she said something to the effect of "I do listen to the judges, but I don't necessarily take their advice on board".
From then on, with the faffing continuing (to a degree), Len's marking was consistently lower than the other judges, including Craig (something which hasn't ever happened, before or since). Although eventually, with both Aliona and Len relenting somewhat, Harry and Aliona went on to win.
