Coronation Street - Three-years ago today John Stape died
Paying tribute to one of the best characters in the show, John Stape who was killed off 3-years ago. How time flies.
Here is his final episode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w0kCMM3S1M An old tribute video to the character https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A4kRrwl3qo I still miss him. I think it's still sad they chose to end his life. Hopefully Rob doesn't end up the same way. |

Apart from the daft come back from the dead bit at the end of his time on the Street, he was one of the greatest characters in UK soap history.
An accidental serial killer. Brilliantly black comedy. 'Come on, you've got to concentrate! We haven't even started on the other two murders!' |

Initially I hated his character but the whole storyline was actually quite entertaining. I loved Charlotte's dotty parents and the scenes when she introduced him.

Oh John. A wonderful man. Seriously, I enjoyed the shenanigans of Stape and his life of accidental murders. Especially when he hid Colin in the rubbish bin and buried him under the knicker factory, with a drunken Rita almost uncovering his dastardly deed.

I agree with all of the above comments.
I absolutely loved the Stapemeister and I still miss him (unlike Fizz). Who would have thought that an accidental serial killer would work as a storyline in a British soap? But it did and it was hilarious. |
