Alcohol that doesnt taste alcoholic....
Does this exist in bottled form?
I dont drink alcohol often because i dont like the taste. Ive tried alcopops as i like fruity drinks, but things like that taste fruity but after ive swallowed it i can taste the alcohol that leaves a bad aftertaste. When we were on holiday we had alcoholic slushies. They were the same in that it tasted like raspberry or mango but then you got the vodka or rum aftertaste. One day the bartender recommended mixing the raspberry vodka slushie with the pina colada one. We gave it a go and it was bloody gorgeous. It tasted just like raspberry slushie, but a bit creamier, and the alcoholic aftertaste was completely gone! It tasted just like a non alcoholic drink so was easier to drink and tasted ten times better. Are there any drinks on the market that are similar? Whenever i go out with friends i always stick to soft drinks because i assumed all alcoholic drinks give you that odd taste and feel in the back of your throat. It would be great if there was one which just tasted of what it was supposed to. |

Maybe its just me then! Every alcopop ive tried has always had the familiar unpleasant aftertaste and that slight burning feeling at the back of your throat. Maybe im just more sensitive to it since i dont drink often?

Try a Kopparberg strawberry and lime. If that tastes of alcohol to you i'd give up.

Malibu? I haven't had in years but don't remember a strong after taste. I mixed mine with Appletise. Do they still make that? Or you could mix it with pineapple juice or coke.

The Kopperberg was a good recommendation. Or even just a vodka and coke - I find that tastes of absolutely nothing. A vodka based drink is probably your best bet. Although if you don't like the taste of alcohol, why bother? Have a red bull, that makes me more giddy than any alcohol does. |

That's just the regular taste of an alcopop in my experience. You'd be better off having something actually alcoholic.

Although if you don't like the taste of alcohol, why bother? Have a red bull, that makes me more giddy than any alcohol does. I wouldnt say i was drunk, just tipsy enough to let my hair down and stop worrying about things. I didnt drink to excess just enough that i was a little bit giddy but was still completely aware about what i was doing. This drink had absolutely no taste of alcohol though, just tasted the same as a raspberry slush puppy. Ive never before come across an alcoholic drink that didnt hit the back of my throat or make my face scrunch up after swallowing it. |

If you don't like the taste of alcohol, what is the point in trying to drink it?

Absolute vodka seems purer and have less "alcohol flavour" than others I tried. They also do vodka that is already flavoured (lemon, raspberry, chilli, etc). I can recommend Raspberry Absolute with Orange juice. Delicious! |

First, I assume you aren't aged 12. Most people hate the taste of alcohol as a child, but get used to it as they grow older.
