Arghhhhhhh!! ... they shouldn't be touching Wuthering Heights this will be worse than Queen surely .. and Alison to dance to it ... No!! ... only the pros should dance to it!!
Le Freak is a brilliant song choice .. and I can see Judy as Cruella .. should be extremely funny

Not overly enthused about many of these unfortunately. Saw wuthering heights and thought YES, and then realised it would be an Alison ballroom...

I hope to be pleasantly surprised come Saturday!

Defying gravity, weird choice I bet they have shoe horned it in so they can have either Frankie or Kevin flying in on the harness.

I love it. Great for "bopping" away to.

Still not sure what a ballroom or even SCD Samba is. Very different from Brazilian Samba they both appear to be.

It's a party song though .. and might work in a similar way to Living La Vida Loca/Young Hearts Run Free and Faith .. it has a strong disco vibe.
The producers are determined not to match song with dance so the best one can hope for with the samba is that it's fun and not a total car crash. Pasha and Caroline can deliver a party dance I'm sure I feel easier now I've heard the song choice.

Dislike Le Freak??? You weren't burning the floor in the seventies then

How is Alison going to portray an ethereal and ghostly Cathy!!??!! Alijaz stands more chance! Cathy shouldn't be plodding!!

Oh dear, Defying Gravity is one of my favourite songs, can't see how it suits a tango.

I thought Pixie and Trent were doing Tango same as Frankie and Kevin... Are they doing Paso instead?

Looks like it.

Twigged why Scott will be dressed as Fester, the costume will hide his legs brilliantly.

There's been some changes, as on ITT on Monday, Craig said Pixie and Frankie were both doing tangos, so we could compare them.
Also, Alison was down to do a Charleston, and that's changed.

not sure...........

Craig definately said on monday that both Frankie and Pixie were doing tango and it would be good for the judges to be able to compare the top 2 ladies (or words to that effect) so unless Pixies dance has been changed........

With Wuthering Heights, you're 48 seconds into the tune before there's as much as a really recognisable beat, which will leave not much time left for dancing. But that might suit Alison. However I fear, unfavourable comparisons may be made between Alison in her red dress, last week and Kate Bush in hers when she made the video.

Still, they could do Barry Manilow, have a couple of bars of intro and then, "go straight into the chorus."

yeah it is great to bop to but not something i would use for a samba - Pixie's samba last week is typical ballroom floor samba (speed etc)

ooo yes was bopping with the best of em in the seventies and love la freak but just not as a samba - in saying that with the music choices some have had is nearer the dance than many

It will be the usual SambaSalsaDisco fusion and get a great score and public votes. The audience will clap and also sing along.

Mind you, I used to do a mean "whipping the floor" action to the 80s version of it

So- absolutely no trad music at all then. I can understand having modern music to fit the Hallowe'en theme, but Black Betty, Tainted Love and Wuthering Heights are neither Hallowe'en nor ballroom. Although I suppose Heathcliff is pleading with the ghost of Cathy in the song, but it's a bit tenuous.

The Gloria Jones version is quicker than Soft Cell's.
