Ah, the Master playing a Frenchman with a Welsh accent.

The Awakening is a little cracker, mind.

It had at least 4 episodes so a story could be told with characters introduced and the threats as well, there was nowhere the same emphasis as there is now on the companion's romance or the focus on the companion
The first doctor contemplated murder! I never saw any twists coming either”

BIB: I'm finding it very hard to take this statement seriously. What, all 26 years of Classic Who were excellent? Really?!

Also, a lot of the McCoy stories were only 3 episodes and there were a number of two-parters throughout Doctor Who's history so your "It had at least 4 episodes" statement is incorrect.

^I'm incredulous at this statement.

The era of the first four Doctors was brilliant; especially given the context of what TV was like at the time. But I see the Davison/Colin/McCoy era as mostly filler.
They mark the true low point of Who. I don't blame the BBC for halting production and then cancelling the show altogether. I'd have done the same thing!

The production values of DW has never as high as it is today. The amount of love for the show has never been greater. The level of creative enthusiasm has never been as strong.
