So now the Cotton's and Mitchell's will be entwined. How will this pan out ?... Two aged hard men well past their prime Phil vs Nick who will be the Don? or will they join forces to form an elite bad man crew ruling the east end?

Will be Phil, they have clashed in the past and Phil came out on top then so there is no reason not to think that Phil will come out on top again.

I'd love to see a surrogate mother/son relationship develop between Dot and Phil.

have they? I don't remember that, what made their paths cross before? Nick is clearly still panto villain but I think Phil is also heading that way! They are bound to interact over the coming weeks... It may save us all our annual panto trips with the kids

Philth will win as he has TPTB in his pocket and has 'owned' Nick before.

I hated those scenes but you have to expect that in Eastenders - it is the law that Philth always wins in feuds, fights (against much bigger, younger fitter men or murderous gangsters), poker, pool, always gets the all the women and always recovers from potentially fatal injuries within 3.7 seconds.

And people say that Nick is a panto villain - at least he is fun to watch.

Philth is just incredibly boring - it's like watching a young cruel child burn ants alive with a magnifying glass.

The ants in this case beng every other character that crosses his path.

Yawn.

Nope I can slate him all night - and I really enjoy it.

It must be so easy to be a Philth fan just sit back and watch him hurt, humiliate and destroy everyone knowing that he will never pay for his crimes.
