...what would have happened on You're Fired!?

Obviously Ella Jade didn't appear last night because of the bereavement in her family, and I think that actually the show wouldn't have been great had she been there, because it's hard enough to fit in two interviews in half an hour. Three would have been very, very rushed.

But what if, for whatever reason, Ella Jade had been the only one fired? Obviously she still wouldn't have been able to appear. What would they have done on the spin-off show? I think they were lucky that Ella Jade was fired as part of a triple firing really.

I think they would do something along the lines of Dara + the guests discussing the four weeks so far, and showing some clips of the best funny moments.

Agree with Daniel - they could easily fill the time if they needed to.
It must be a contingency as there's lots of reasons why, six months or so on, a fired candidate can't or won't come on the show.

I actually think that when there's a multiple firing, they should get both (or all) of the people who have been fired on together. I think it always seems really rushed to get from one to the next. They did that initially - Paul and Ansell were interviewed together, but I didn't watch the You're Fired! series for Series 3, 4 or 5.

Alex and Helene were also interviewed simultaneously in the You're Fired in Series 4, although that was probably because they worked together in the finale. With the show's first real double-firing (Ifti and Rory) they were interviewed separately, likely because they were fired for entirely different reasons.

What about Jenny and Jennifer?

They were definitely separate and I thought Alex and Helene were interviewed separately from my memory?

Jenny and Jennifer interviewed separately. Which was probably for the best, given that the absolute reaming that Jenny got from Michelle Mone and Vanessa Feltz probably wouldn't have been quite as effective with Jennifer sitting around like a loose end (or another loose end, as Adrian Chiles so often was in these situations).

Alex and Helene were definitely on at the same time, though for some odd reason they took separate audience votes as to whether or not they should have been fired.
