When the above give the training room points of how they could improve or help

Do you think that the remaining dancers and pros take on board the points they make either on ITT or the main shows
or do u think some see it as interfering and they will do what they want anyway ?

Probably most of the time they are picking up on things that the pro is already trying to sort out. I doubt that they say anything the pro doesn't know better than them very often. But it's easy to say what they should be doing, it's harder to teach the non-dancer to do it.

Sometimes they pick up on something and then the couple have to show effort to tackle it. Like performance, or Craig with the hands, etc. There's not been much this year - honestly do the judges say anything other than 'you came out and had a go' any more? The only one I can think of this year has been focussing on Alison's footwork, so now I find I'm looking at her feet much more than I was at the beginning.

I agree that most pros will be working on whatever point is raised. But I also think that the pro might be working on so many things with their celeb, whilst trying to keep them doing the things they've mastered. Craig has a bug bear about hands, but hands might be a very small thing on the pro's radar if their celeb is struggling. They'll work on the hands to please Craig on future shows.

Out of all the judges, I think Darcey offers the best advice because it's not usually dance specific, but body related i.e. how to achieve a certain posture.

On ITT I like Karen's session, but can take or leave Craig and Ian.

Craig and the thumb sticking up - as we have seen on ITT quite a few of the pro men do the same so perhaps they take no notice of that one.

I would guess they are just reinforcing what the pros are already saying and the celebs may listen more if an outsider picks up on a problem as well.

Craig's hand obsession is fairly ludicrous and indicative of his superficial knowledge, especially in ballroom. To be worrying about thumb placement and yet frequently missing (or at least not commenting on ) basic posture and foot work horrors is failing to see the wood for the trees on an epic scale.

They don't need a head judge. They need a better way of sorting out a dance off tie.

I really think that Ian warm up helps tremendously so if I was a celebrity, I would really listen to what he says on Wednesday. Sure the pros already talk about it with their celebrities, BUT he always helps to hear a second opinion and how to improve a certain area in your routine in less than 3 days and imo Ian really helps in that aspect

Ian and Karen give good constructive and appropriate advice

Craig and sometimes Darcy's advice is on occassion off and his hand advice sometimes quite odd

I suspect that Ian is 'in the loop' and when he mentions a problem on Wednesday it will also be on the judges minds on Saturday. Since Ian is generally picking out the biggest problems I'd guess that the pro partners are fully aware of them too. Remember that although the couples train separately the rehearsals bring a lot of people together and people will talk to each other about the dances.

Since Karen is reviewing the completed dance she look at any detail she likes and it might not be relevant for any future dance.

I would like to think that the pros and celebs take on Karen/Craig and Ian's tops, but I'm not sure they would as they might see it as interfering.

If you take away all the OTT and theatrical moments from Bruno, I think he gives the best advice on the main show. It would be interesting to have him on the ITT couch on a Monday instead of Craig as he might be calmer.
