As freetime is a box that records like the freesat + box it may be helpful to add freetime along with freesat+ ?

They already exist.
Freesat+ with <freetime>
http://www.humaxdigital.com/uk/products/
Freesat
- HDR-1000S/1TB Freesat+ with Freetime
- HDR-1000S/2TB Freesat+ with Freetime
- HB-1000S Freesat HD with Freetime
- HDR-1010S Freesat+ with Freetime
- HDR-1000S/500GB Freesat+ with Freetime
I think you may have a misunderstanding of what freetime is. Freesat+ is the box and freetime is a function of the box and Panasonic TV's
Check out all the things you can do with Freetime:

Roll Back the TV Guide and watch the shows you've missed from the past seven days across 26 channels.
Get top TV picks to watch tonight, coming up and On Demand from Showcase.
Enjoy shows from the UK's favourite On Demand players: BBC iPlayer, ITV Player*, 4oD, Demand 5 and YouTube; BBC News and BBC Sport Apps; plus movies on demand from Curzon Home Cinema.
Pair with the Freesat App - to set recordings and reminders from your smartphone or tablet

No i understand that it's is a software added to a + box or TV. But as it has a lot more control over the epg and gives you extra players then older boxes it may be handy to just have it added along with freesat+ ? It would also help new comers that are looking for help with that type of box...
I think that we had a change from freesat sd freesat hd to freesat and freesat+ in pass.

Older boxes don't have the hardware or processing power to support freetime.

There is another forum under Online Entertainment Services but this is not platform specific. I agree with tvmad-alan that it would be a good idea to start a separate one for <freetime> to cover Freesat G2 boxes and <freetime> TVs - perhaps a pinned thread at the top or a sub-forum under Freesat+ Recorders ?

So the OPs talking about a sub-forum rather than a freesat+ box itself. I certainly didn't get that from the first post.

Nor me - still not sure exactly what was intended.

Likewise - his post made no sense (and still doesn't).

Assuming he meant a sub-forum?, sounds a pretty pointless idea to me?.

I read the OP's post as a suggestion to change the forum description to e.g. "For discussion of all Freesat+ and Freetime personal video recorders"

Perhaps the OP can clarify exactly what is being suggested.

Sorry from the op in not making it clear to what i was trying to put over in this post....
DX30 is right that i was asking to put TO the title of Freesat + ( & Freetime + ) for all boxes

And to the Freesat discussion add ( & freetime ) for TV and boxes that doesn't record

Hope i made it clear this time ...lol

All freetime twin tuner boxes are Freesat+ badged.

http://www.freesat.co.uk/get-freesat...-with-freetime

The single tuner HB1000S (records to usb drive) and Panasonic freetime TV's aren't Freesat+ devices. (The TV's don't even have a satellite tuner).

So you can have a freetime device that isn't freesat+ but not a twin tuner pvr. There's no such thing as Freetime+.

So the HB1000S should be in the Freesat threads and the Panny TV's in the terrestrial threads.

See now that my assumption of what he meant was wrong but I still think that a sub-forum for Freetime would be a good idea especially now that the on-demand services being provided are increasing at an exponential rate (2 in 5 months ).

And talking of which the BBC Trust has today approved the BBC’s plans for a new Radio 1 section within BBC iPlayer, which will broadcast a range of on-demand interviews, recordings of live sessions, and other content.

afaik all freetime boxes and TV's have some sort of recording capability (to an external usb drive).

Still confused, perhaps an example of which threads which devices are going to be in.

As to the G2 Freesat+ boxes, I can imagine the confusion.

Why not a thread in Freesat+ for Freesat+ - freetime boxes, one in Freesat for freetime boxes, and one in Freeview for freetime TV's ?
