Hi, I'm new, and wondered what you guys want in the actual design of the house this year?

big bro 1 house - blue and plain
big bro 2 house - wood, with lots of garish oranges
big bro 3 - retro, crome and orangey red
big bro 4 - plain, round and intimate
big bro 5 - harsh, pointy and clashing colours, evil.

I was thinking, that if the humourous plan goes ahead, maybe pinks and puprle, with lots of neon and furry walls!

What do you wanT, and which was your favourite house?

I liked the BB1 and BB3 houses, I found them easier on the eye than the others!

I want to see it modern and slighty futuristic I think. I love it when there's lots of mad stuff on the walls. The BB4 house was poor for that, but I think BB5 went too far. BB3 had the best balance I think. BB2 will always remain the best house, though.

I'd love to see it bigger, inside and out. Can they even go a third smaller yet again?

thanks for your replies, if the house were 1/3 smaller, it would be too small for even a celeb BB with just 8 housemates. I think a bigger house/slash garden would be cool, at different levesl and heights.

I'm a big fan of the BB3 and 4 houses. Last years was just too gaudy, and horrible. BB2 was too wooden, although BB1 was pleasant enough.

BB3 House was my favourite too. Hope they go back to having a pool instead of a jacuzzi and having 2 bedrooms.

Me too - a bit like the Auz 2003 house.

And the more the housemates get to 'decorate' their own house the better it looks on screen.

BB2 is still by far the best house.

I really hope it doesn't get smaller again - I prefer the bigger houses such as BB3 where there is plenty of room for housemates to talk behind each others backs.

I'd imagine the spa, spalounge and sauna will remain - but I think the HMs should win the right to access these - but I hope the glass fronted bathroom goes. To get nudity you need to give HMs the impression of privacy.

I agree totally with everything you've said. A shower like BB1 and 2 will be more likely to get nudity than one like BB5...if that's what they want, which I assume they do.

I hope none of the spa area remains. And I hope the bedroom and bathroom/toilet go back inside. A totally new garden is needed.

The one bedroom needs to stay! I love it!

One thing they musn't do is go back to a Boys and Girls bedroom.

One big dorm works fine, or go for three bedrooms of four - and possibly force the rooms to have two men, two women.

It be good if they went along the BB USA lines of having different standards of beds - (ranging from a waterbed to sleeping bag!) just to mix things up a bit.

I don't see how two houses would enhance the format. Big Brother is about focusing on the individuals they bring in, and if they were to double the amount of people, it'd mean less time to focus and less time to encourage people to hate.

i would like a modern house as well i hope they dont try to provoke people reactions via the houses desighn a la BB5 i mean i was ready to kill just looking at it THey were living in the bloody thing

Surely the main structure is built now. When do the photo/plan leaks usually start appearing on the net?

Doubt it. I bet it looks the same as when we last saw it. Perhaps minus furniture.

It took around 10 weeks to build the BB5 house from the BB4 house so I suppose they will start building around now.

The house plan for BB5 appeared in the NOTW on the 21st March last year.

i thought it was around this time last year- so maybe we'll get some shots soon.

may be a little later in gettin pics this yr tho cos they kept the house the same for longer - for celeb bb- so its prob still very much a work in progress!
