Yes, possibly. But I don't remember her gurning all the time. Has Alison ever read Wuthering Heights or even contemplated what the song was about? Or does her own 'character' trump everything in her view.

Scott had to go, but I did enjoy his performance tonight more than Alison's.

Anton jests...but there's probably a bit of truth in that.

I was wondering who that was. I thought a very well dressed audience member had rushed the stage.

You answered your own question there.

I know Im in the minority but I agree with Len to a degree. Im no expert but I thought Scotts footwork was better than Alisons but she got it on the overall performance.

Lets hope Judy goes next week.

To be fair, Kate Bush had never read the book when she wrote the damned song, so reading it doesn't appear to be a prerequisite of interpreting it in other media.

I do understand what Len was trying to say.

There was probably far more 'foxtrot feet' from Scott than there ever was from Alison.

Wasn't asking a question. Just thinking out loud.

There's not many who would think that Cathy would grin her head off during the haunting mind.

That's what happens when you no longer have Bruce and his patented Anti-McFly broom to shoo people off. The show has gone to the (spotty) dogs.

I liked Alison at the start, but she's not improving so I think her time is almost up. Judy should go first though but she must have a huge vote so it may not happen for a while yet.

Okay, but the song was still a haunting rendition of the doomed Cathy's feelings for her lover and Kate Bush portrayed it that way rather than as Carry on up the Wuthering

What a contrast to Saturday's show!

Very good pro dance.

Excellent item from Saturday's show and backstage clips that actually made it look spectacularly good!

Annie Lennox and no-one trying to dance to a song that doesn't suit dancing to - just let us enjoy it. (Would have liked her mic volume turned up a bit.)

An OK Len's Lens.

No squeezing the last drop of angst out of the announcements.

Great showing by Alison, Ailjaz, Scott and Joanne (who looked beautiful).

And a very nice way for Scott to go.

Excellent Results Show!

I think I tried to read it once and found listening to Smiths albums back to back, followed by Nirvana made me feel much more cheerful

Wasn't Alison doing an American Smooth though.

I actually thought Scott was better in dance off.

I wonder if Annie Lennox had it as part of her contract that no one should distract from it by dancing?

Trying to change the subject

Me too, Alison has what I call 'five to two' feet which make her look as if she is shuffling along, too much faffing about in both routines but I thought the dancing done in hold was done better by Scott

I've worked out why Alison was grinning. She had been told they were dancing to this version:
