Pot calling the kettle black or what?

Yep. She went on Big Brother acting like a prat.

I will say the exact same thing to Luisa that I say to people who are slating her - people can go on this show for whatever damn reason they want, and no one else has the right to judge. And for the record, they've spelled her name wrong. It's only one S.

Wow, she is the most fame-hungry contestant there has been.

Perhaps she wants the Katie Hopkins award for talking the most crap.....

Lol. That's rich.

So now that she's been there and done that, it's now uncool for anyone else to do it?
Sounds like typical Luisa logic.

Is she for real, think she needs to look very hard in the mirror! this coming from a woman who entered a low rent reality show (Celebrity Big Brother) and acted like a complete tramp. #ShakesHead

She is saying that there are people going on the show who do not have a realistic chance of getting the business deal with AS and their motivation is to get on the minor celeb gravy train
At least Luisa had a sound business proposition and took the show seriously
Her current celeb fame has come as a bonus but was never her reason for going on the show

Oh come on!

This is the woman who described herself as resembling Jessica Rabbit with the brain of Einstein..... Then admitted to fake boobs, hair and nails and her business proposition was basically unworkable (per the industry insiders) in the format she put forward.

Without the Apprentice she would have still been a cupcake maker in St Albans, and got nowhere near her current "celebrity" status or current employment as a media whore!

Pot calling the kettle black - and definitely rich coming from her!

I believe that she entered The Apprentice with the single idea of winning the show. Since she left she has taken up the celeb route but it was not her original plan. The difference is that she thinks that some current contestants see the celeb career as their purpose for going on the show
All this pot and kettle stuff is nonsense

I kind of agree with you because I rate Luisa, but I also think that no one should assume that they know anyone else's reasons for going on the show, or judge them for it. I defend Luisa from people who say that she's a media whore because like you, I genuinely think that she had legitimate reasons for taking part in the show and anything else has simply been a result of it. However, I would think that someone in her position would understand, better than anyone else, how it feels to have such accusations thrown at you, and thus would hold her tongue about her beliefs on these candidates' plans a little more than she has done.

I think that we should take what is printed about Luisa with a bucket load of salt
Sometimes there is a vast difference between what somebody says and what ends up printed
Good luck to LZ. She is coining it in now from magazines but has the brains to realise that it will not last for ever and will have her business to fall back on

Okay, fair point.

Yes, good luck to Luisa. I think she's been quite shrewd about it actually. She has cashed in on the media attention enough to get some more money from it, but she's learned from Katie Hopkins' mistakes. Katie went too far with her controversial views and now she's a hate figure - yeah, she still gets attention, but it's virtually all negative and I don't think it will be long before she disappears. Luisa has managed to stop short of being thoroughly offensive, and she's someone people would still be willing to do business with.

I don't mind Luisa, but strongly suspect her desire to devote herself to her partner and daughter has coincided with the lack of any half-way decent tv offers.

You may believe that but no one can be sure. It wouldn't be just her doing this, many people go on The Apprentice as a way to promote themselves, not to win necessarily. Several have gone on to have short careers as models. After all, only one can win, the rest have lost weeks from their previous careers. Winning is a bonus, it can't be the sole aim otherwise it wouldn't be worth putting your career on hold for.

Luissa didn't become this publicity seeking person overnight. She had a very colourful history before going on The Apprentice. Her claims about the businesses she ran before going on the show didn't stand up to any serious scrutiny. So the chances she was serious about her business plan are not exactly high.

I think pot and kettle comments are very apt.

Most of what is printed about her she arranges to happen. She goes to publicity events and makes sure she's photographed there. She gives interviews or press releases. She does photoshoots. She's no publicity shy shrinking violet, she's seeking the attention constantly.

No one said she hasn't got brains, but she's clearly making far more money this way than she ever would have done with her business idea. If she had been serious about that she would surely have gone down that road, not join the zeleb circuit.

Nail on head and pot and kettle are exceedingly LZ appropriate.

And her way of 'stepping out of the spotlight' is by telling all this to Closer magazine!!!

If there are fame-hungry people on the programme - and I'm sure there are - they are identified as such by the makers of this show and admitted as contestants because they have the potential to add a certain 'entertainment' value as in they are probably more likely to make a fool out of themselves in front of a camera.

It is the sad fate of almost every good show that this type of contestant is drawn to a popular show.

Don't blame the contestants, blame the producers for they know what they are doing.

How many times had Katie Price declared to "the meedja" that she is taking a step back from the "spotlight" to spend more time with her family?

Declaring that you're not seeking publicity is a good way of getting you in the magazines....

Actually, I think those people generally aren't chosen to be candidates. Lord Sugar has said in the past that anyone who thinks that the show is all about fame wannabes should come to auditions and see the people that they turn away. There are people with crazy dyed hair and no business experience who just want to get on television, and that isn't the sort of person they admit. Most of the candidates have at least some experience and have been successful in their own field, even if that doesn't come through on the show. Even people like Steven and Sarah have done well in the area that they work. Obviously anyone who goes on a show like this is going to have some level of extroverted personality, but that's not the same as being a fame wannabe.

Agreed - although I would say we have seen a few (but only a few introverts) in the show's history. I'd argue that Tim Campbell was one (or at least had a strong introverted element to him), Tom Pellereau too.

We all accept that these days the show is more about entertainment than it is about business, but as you say every candidate has at least a shred of credibility to them (and some much more than that), even if it is a small one-man band business such as running a market stall. While some candidates would fit in (and have done so) on other reality shows, that's not to say any old Big Brother wannabe could just get into The Apprentice. Many of them may be wannabes, but it's a smaller subset than the usual crowd who could get into BB, say.
