I mind. And maybe Ola minds.
I hate anyone getting the pronunciation of anyone's name wrong. I find it disrespectful.
Your name is something that defines you. Someone getting it wrong means they don't care whether you are defined as you or as something else. You, Omniconsumer (or should I say, Omcosmer?) don't care. Well that's fine but others (me principally) do.
I tell people how to pronounce my name all the time. It probably seems so little to those involved (certainly little enough for them to ignore my pronunciation and resort to their own ideas).
Yet I know how my name should sound. I hate it if someone says it incorrectly.
Maybe Ola doesn't give a toss. But nobody should dismiss the pronunciation of someone's name as "Who cares?"
