Did anyone else think 'too soon' at the Steve Jobs reference, only to later look it up on Wikpedia and realise that he died all the way back in 2011 and that what grown-ups always said when you were a child about time seeming to pass faster when you got older was actually true and you're now on a speeding rollercoaster hurtling towards old age and death?

Nothing. They aren't allowed to advertise. And you never saw a product logo. There are numerous fake brand logos used within the show on computers and laptops for this reason.

Just out of curiosity, but why? The trivial line in question was clearly celebrating the man and his achievements in its own little way. Is it any different or worse than making a Whodunnit story with a fictional interpretation of Agatha Christie, when she herself was alive until 1976? How long are we expected to wait before we can celebrate the dead faces of fame who put themselves in the spotlight?

he has been dead for more than 4 yeas, as a figure in public society, I dont think this was too soonish, other than Apple groupies, I cant see anyone else being offended by the line.

It was essentially bragging about the man. A joke, yes, but one that was complimentary in nature, as in they were proud to have him and his technology. The only reason it was 'dark humour' was because it made light of the fact the man is dead, that's all. It wasn't a verbal attack or an assault against him, and anyone who gets worked up over such a quick passing remark is trying too hard to be offended, for what little my opinion is worth.

I don't mean that the joke was meant to defame him but it wasn't some appreciative nod. Not unappreciative but its importance is exaggerated. It is funny/not funny (depending on your mileage) because he is dead.
