I think shes more suited to ITT or up interviewing the couples after their dance as shes naturally witty and good at interacting with them. She'd be wasted as the main presenter. I'm not really fussed who does the main presenters job - they're only really introducing the couples and will be forced to read a rubbish pre-scripted gag regardless of who gets the job.”

^ Agree 100% with this. Not that she wasn't great last night - she was - but she's perfect for ITT and that's where she should stay.

But I also love the Tess-Claudia partnership and think it's working really well so I'm happy for things to stay exactly as they are.

Tess seemed to blossom last night. She was relaxed, elegant, funny at times and her whole demeanor was completely different to when she's on with Claudia.

I voted yes, but that's because I just think Tess is too bland as a presenter of a big, flagship show like Strictly. I'm not totally convinced that Zoe is either.

No, Zoe is too excitable and talks too fast and gabbles.

There is another poll running at the moment- Should Zoe replace Claudia?

And Claudia is winning that one- with only about 25% preferring Zoe to Claudia.

But not looking so good for Tess, is it?

It is more than replacing one tall blond with another, it has to do with what tone the producers want to set up front in the main arena, and in the after-dance area. Zoe is more relaxed than Tess, and can ad lib with more flexibility.

But much as I like Zoe, I have a hard time with ITT the last few weeks, a bit too frantic with so many couples to cover. Hopefully it will calm down a tad later in the series.

I do not think that Tess being main presenter is working as well as it might, but I agree with a previous poster that last night she seemed a bit more relaxed with Zoe as her side-kick. IMO Zoe was really good and after a nervous start did herself proud.

Still think that overall someone like Graham Norton with a quick wit and plenty of funny asides would work better than Tess is at present. She is doing her best. but just isn't cutting the mustard.

55% was enough to win the Scottish referendum, so 60 % is an even better majority I'm afraid.

I voted yes for the same reason. But I'd want Claudia as main presenter and Zoe doing the role she did last night.

Tess can do something on ITV that I won't watch.

Zoe replaced Claudia well in Both ITT and last night

Everyone's entitled to their opinion of course, but I don't get those saying replace Claudia with Zoe. They are peas in a pod, both as annoying as each other, it's just that Claudia is funnier imo

But two thirds is hardly a resounding Yes. For me 85% would be.

I also think polls are insulting to the person the pollster wants to replace. I wouldn't like to have strangers saying they wanted to replace me. Perhaps I'm unusual in that I was self-aware enough to realise when I'd become too old in attitude to relate to the teenagers I'd been teaching for 25 years, and if you can't relate to them you can't teach them. I decided someone could do it better than I then could and retired.

My problem with the previous presenter was that he had got well beyond doing the job well, but his ego wouldn't let him retire. Tess hasn't yet got the experience of fronting a programme that Zoe and Claudia have, but she's getting there. I think she should be given a chance - she's only been in the job 6 weeks. She deserves encouragement, not insults. But then some had condemned her before she even started to front the show.

And, of course, you will never, ever please everyone.

No one is as good as Bruce but definitely Zoe should replace Tess as soon as possible.

Actually two thirds is resounding.

Particularly when you remember the question was, 'Should Zoe replace Tess' There could be people who dislike Zoe as well- so the only reasonable implication is that if the question had been 'should Tess be replaced?' the figure would have been even higher. That is in fact, a very decisive vote. It may not be the result you were hoping for- but hey- that's democracy for you.

Personally, I don't think two thirds is resounding - it still means that a third disagree. Two thirds is a majority.

I wasn't hoping for any result. I haven't voted because I think it's an insult to Tess and to anyone else you don't like and are prepared to publicly slag off. Unfortunately that's one of the downsides of the internet - people think it's OK to say anything nasty they want to while hiding behind a screen name. And before you try to say otherwise, my real name is Janet.

If I have time I'll find the 1,000+ nasty posts you've made about Bruce.

You really are not in a position to accuse people of being nasty.

Most have simply said Tess isn't good enough- which is hardly the kind of abuse you used to heap on Brucie.

I did not abuse Bruce. I pointed out WHY he should retire, just the same as I retired when I knew I could no longer do my job properly, something he didn't admit until he was forced to.

All I've seen about Tess is that people don't like her. No-one has come up with a valid reason why she isn't suitable. She keeps the show on time, Fforsythe didn't. She doesn't tell thr judges they're wrong, Fforsythe did. She doesn't squint at the autocue, Fforsyth did. She doesn't try telling rambling unfunny jokes, Fforsythe did. She doesn't try to make the show all about her, Fforsythe did. She doesn't think she can do things she can't, Fforsythe did - he could no longer hoof. They are reasons, not abuse.

She is on the programme to introduce the couples, link with the judges and hand them on to Claudia, which she does efficiently and with a smile. She is doing the job she is supposed to do.

And I've only made a total of 1,856 posts in total, less than half of which have been about Strictly, with many of those not about the previous presenter. So where are the 1000+ of posts I've made about him? If you have time to find them when, especially when they don't exist, I feel sorry for you. Checking facts before posting is always a good idea.

I see you have come back.

I don't see any abuse of Tess on this thread at all. What exactly are you going on about?

On an other note, considering you seem so against online abuse of people, I had a quick look back at your previous posts and within 2 mins, I had found these posts from you:

"Under the Human Rights Act he should go. He's torturing the studio audience, the TV audience and Joanne, who was in fear of her life last night. She should claim asylum somewhere other than Strictly."

"But Christopher Parker made it to the final and brags that he came second on SCD in site of running round the dance floor with a cape flowing from him like a demented Superman."

How do you think Scott and. Christopher feel about these posts. People in glass houses and all that.

Nor any deliberate misspelling of her name, because that would be willfully offensive.
