the Strictly "bounce"- who's careers have done the best out of appearing on Strictly

James Martin was one - he got Saturday Kitchen directly after Strictly and he's still doing it, that's a pretty good bounce. I'd agree on Aled Jones, Alesha, Tom, Zoe and also Matt Dawson.

With actors I find it hard to say because there are actors who have come out of soaps without doing something like Strictly, like Jill or Kara or Matt De Angelo, who get equally good parts. Maybe it gets them in a position where they can headline a theatre production and expect to get an audience, but I'm not sure they've done more on TV than they would have anyway. I think it can be better for actors if people have no strong image of what they're like 'as themselves' so it's a 50/50 benefit.

Mark Benton having a show is great news.

Did Natasha Kerplinsky get the Ch 5 news gig after strictly and hence much more £?

Dawson. Also Phil Tufnell. In fact, as a regular watcher of QoS, I can testify that a few of the sports people on there have been on Strictly, but Phil and Matt have obviously got the golden ticket

Gethin Jones seemed to be everywhere after his series although I haven't seen much of him lately.

Mark Benton will be hosting a new daytime BBC quiz show soon (think they're currently filming it).

If you're popular on Strictly, it can lead to all sorts of possibilities with the BBC, which is why I can't understand why Christine Bleakley, Susanna Reid and now James Jordan would want to burn their bridges.”

Gethin was working for C4 as late as last week, as a field-side interviewer on the American Football programme.

Also, Austin Healey now works as a rugby analyst for BT Sport

Phil Tufnell is another who benefitted.

Letitia Dean didn't just revive her career, but seems to have stayed much fitter since the show.

Probably knowing the name from Strictly means that there is more of a recognition of future work.
Ricky Whittle is in series in America, for instance - but so is non-Strictly ex Hollyoaker Barry Sloane and Michael Greco is going to be in the new series of Revenge without a Strictly boost.

Sophie did alright. She managed to convince House of Fraser to pay her and clothe her to sit on one of their sponsored tables at the BAFTAs after SCD, I suspect that might not have been the situation previously.

And of course Jimmy got Flavia! A total win!

I watched a prog about artist Jack Vettriano. He used Kara Tointon as a model for a painting.
