When the couples run up the stairs, to the Clauditorium, they very often acknowledge someone who sits by the stairs. The acknowlgement is often a nod, or a brief 'Hi'.

I wondered whether this was a producer. But I would have thought a producer would be in the control room during the show. Or perhaps only the director sits in the control room.
