With it being such an old machine I reckon your chances of finding a user manual are zero. You could look at the ebay listings for the VCR, see if any of the sellers include the manual, and try asking them if they would be agreeable to copying the manual for you if you pay them for their time. Or you may have to buy the VCR in order to get the manual.

Partmaster are Currys online spare parts provider and have loads of manuals for their own brands (like Matsui) and other manufacturers.

As there's no such 'make' as Matsui you're unlikely to find one on-line.

As it's purely a badge used by Currys on cheap equipment they buy in, you would need to approach Currys to try and source a manual. You could try:

http://www.partmaster.co.uk/matsui-parts/shop.pl

However, why on earth would you need a user manual for an old VCR?.

Ive just obtained this model of VCR as a spare to play old vhs tapes.
It has been little used as it was in a church for playing videos for a service once in a while and they haven't used it for a long time.
I thought it should be in reasonable condition as its had little use! Only snag was it doesn't have manual or remote, but now I have the manual I could possibly get the remote cheaply online too.
Thanks for the help.

It's quite likely one of the cheap universal remotes would work with it, just use the find mechanism they all have where you try each code in turn.

The remote is one of the few spares listed at Currys Partmaster.
