Scott was better than Alison in the DO

For once I agreed with Len. Scott really upped his game in the DO, and IMO should have stayed. All Alison did was waft around the stage after that dreadful descent, leaving most of the dancing to her partner.

Although Alison has rhythm, her weight limits her.
I remember her crying on "this morning" on how she feels about her size.it was part of project to slim down to get in a party dress for Christmas.
I think she has tried to lose weight at times.
It doesn't help that her mother is also overweight

The vote is only on the Dance off, not who is a better dancer overall
On the DO, Scott was better.

to be fair to both Scott and Allison, there was very little foxtrot in EITHER of their dances, I hadnt realised that Allisons AS was a foxtrot based AS until Len mentioned it in the dance off

Scott did do a few foxtrot steps that I recognised - please dont ask me to name them, I have no clue! - but to me, he did more than Allison, her dance was pretty much just wafting about with a couple of bars in hold

They should have both been pre screened out at audition stage. They are both rubbish.

I noticed her in the audience. Her mother is not overweight. She mother is just a bit less obese.

But a good friend of mine is obese and dances salsa three times a week. He is a very good dancer.

Enjoyed is perhaps too strong a word for me but he at least looked like he was following a routine. Alison on the other hand weaved and wafted around the dance floor willy nilly.....I felt I'd had a dream a woken up in a parachute testing factory ! In her defense she does have rhythm and she is very personable and really does try to perform and act out each routine, which was why this week I found it so strange to see her grinning inanely throughout...........its a tragic love story ffs!

Having said that, .its the first half decent attempt Scott has made all series whilst she has consistently put up a performance every week, so the right contestant left.

I agree that Scott was better than Alison in the dance off. But once they had him in the DO I couldn't see the judges letting him stay - only if he had been up against Judy would he have had a chance. I can't see Alison has a "sense of rhythm" as people say, and her "bubbly" personality fails to appeal to me. I am afraid I find her brash and conceited. But I expect she will last a bit longer.

It's the dance off that counts NOT how they previously performed!

I'm afraid I disagree, I actually thought Scott did worse in the dance off than in the actual night, there were a lot of mistakes but he did have more dance content than Alison but I found Alison's routine technically better, despite her mistakes, and more entertaining.

Mmm it is and like the judges I think Alison just about scrapped and wafted through a sea of mist to a win!

Unfortunately, that does seem to be true.

But when the judges say what they're supposed to be doing, it's usually that they're supposed to go by the dance off performances, rather than anything else.

None of them were that great but Scot was much better than Alison

I'm just disappointed that we never had the chance of a Scott vs Judy dance off.

Think of the torture that would have brought the judges. Oh the choice ..... how to find something good to say ... how to chose between two wooden manikins.....
