Bruno's antics in Len's lens

Apologies if this was mentioned elsewhere, I did try a search.

We're used to Bruno's "expressiveness" but he went too far in Len's lens. When Darcey stood up and walked around to demonstrate the paso doble, he slid onto the floor just as she got to him. I know Darcey laughed, as did some others but he could have caused her to trip over, and she could have hurt herself. I don't want to go all health and safety but he went too far. Just after that he leapt into the air as well!
Maybe he needs to cut back on the pies too as his bottom shirt button came undone!

I agree, and he nearly got her stiletto heel in his whatsits! It would have served him right, to be fair - it's a good job she's nippy on her feet.

He's going too far. Everything that happens regarding the judges has to centre around him. Even if the others are talking (eg during Len's Lens), he drapes himself over Craig and he's constantly moving around, striking a pose, pulling that stupid duck face. When it comes to his turn in the dance off voting, I close my eyes so I can't get a close up of his duck face trying to be all dramatically serious.

If I'm honest, he HAS annoyed me in past series, but this one's worse. He's like a kid yelling "Look at me!"

(Oh, and the chair incident a few series ago (I forget which one)? He did exactly the same thing on DWTS that same week or the week after/before. It was completely staged - funny the first time I saw it, but that was ruined when I saw him do it again on the other show. Pathetic, ego-centric little man.)

So yeah, he's probably a nice man in real life.

BIB. LOL. If that had been me, I'd probably have stepped on him, as my balance isn't that good in heels! Of course, being a ballerina held Darcey in good stead there!

So he pulled the falling off the chair routine twice then?!

Funnily enough, I've noticed the same- it's like he has ants in his pants or something!! He just can't sit still and has to be in everyone's space. I'd hate to be sat near him on an evening. That said, he does know his stuff. He just needs to maybe tone things down 10 notches.

Haha yes, thank the stars she's a ballerina! But apologies - it wasn't Bruno who did the chair stunt on DWTS, it was Carrie Ann Inaba. He, however, did it on Strictly the same week:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/b...r-live-2472538

So it would seem they both did it on the same week's programmes, and it totally spoiled the fun.

If I remember rightly (and I'm useless at doing that, as I proved ) that series of DWTS wasn't televised in the UK, so maybe the producers thought the stunts wouldn't be seen on both sides of the pond that year? I dunno, I'm probably wrong about that too.

He ruined what was warming up to be a nice display of Darcey's finest assets.

Irritating, annoying little nonentity. (Bruno I mean, not Darcey)

Did anyone else spot Len's face on Saturday night concerning Bruno. I can't remember exactly where it was but he did his usual standing up, swishing his arms about looking like he was playing a scene from a Shakespearean play and got too close to Len. Len looked like he wanted to slap him down, or at the very least throw some verbal at him.

I like Bruno's passion but the temptation to slap him occasionally must be high. Problem is, he'd probably use it to carry on

Probably the only funny moment ever in Len's lens. Same again next week Bruno.

He acts like a hyperactive 10 year old sometimes . What he did was dangerous and had he been my 10 year old he would be taken aside and told to calm bloody down

Bruno was funny. I like the nutter. I don't believe Darcey was unduly stressed. Bruno's scream was enough of a warning.

This was the best and most relaxed Len's Lens in a long time, I thought. Probably the section of the show where Zoe's different tempo paid off best. Though the post-Who's Been Saved interview-lets were also really good. Claud is funnier but maybe she scares the judges / dancers a little with her wit?? SCD is lucky to have both of 'em.

The whole show is scripted and rehearsed; and Bruno is Strictly's Harpo Marx. It is in his contract and the script-writers write to it.

Nothing is impromptu and all is planned as in any good pantomime.

Nooo! You could script Len, or Darcey, and probably Craig. In Bruno's case I think you turn the key in his back and let him go

The show is scripted to a degree but trust me, if you've ever attended the Live Tour the tv show suddenly seems like an entire improv troupe's worth of spontaneity in comparison.

maybe he has to many sugary snacks in hospitality while waiting for 24hrs for the "live" Sunday show

This show's going "all to hell in a handcart."

They've been encouraged to camp it up more. The "grand entrance" is symptomatic of that.
The problem is that all three men are trying to up-stage each other. Some of the faces of the other two when one is talking to camera when giving their appraisal of a dance are a picture. It'll get worse yet.

Yes, he is. Actually, he's the most consistent marker (and most impartial) too. (Or certainly that is how he's scored historically, compared to the others.)

He does know his stuff as a judge, but my God he is an attention seeking little irritant. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING remotely funny about him.
