I can't describe just how much I hated the Cyberbrig idea. I understand it was well meaning but I hated it.

There were some very good bits in the episode but the whole theme of the episode was intensely silly. Rates up there with Last of the Timelords as my least liked Doctor Who story of all time... And I've seen Time and the Rani

To me, a lot of the blame for this seaaon-ending debacle must go to....... RTD.

Once you have had a narrow escape from the end of world..... the universe.... very existence itself where else is there to go after that?

The brave thing to do would be to stick to a clear andcogent plot rather than continually biting of more that can be chewed.

PS HATE the continual writing for the fan boys and girls. The programme is on a Saturday night and should be fully 'for' the general audience

Well fair play, that was absolute twaddle. I don't need to repeat what others have already asked, but there are so many unanswered questions as to be ridiculous.

Peter Capaldi makes an excellent Doctor, no doubt of that. However, this series finale wasn't worth him getting out of bed for. I don't know what Moffat is trying to do here, but it clearly isn't working.

If I didn't know better, I would swear he is deliberately trying to sabotage Doctor Who by making it incomprehensible. There was no story, or rather not one you could follow without being off your face with smack. Perhaps that is Moffats problem.

I had hoped that Moffat would have learned from his past mistakes during and after the Smith era, but he obviously hasn't. Once again he has tried to be too clever and fallen flat on his face. I don't care how much of a Moffat supporter you are, no one in their right mind could call this farce of an episode clever, enjoyable or a satisfying conclusion to Peter Capaldi's first series as The Doctor.

Moffat isn`t interested in The Doctor as a protagonist. He`s a spectator for the most part as Moffat has his piss-dull supporting characters save the day while Capaldi stands around wondering what`s for dinner tonight.

Question 4 is easy enough. Why do people stand around watching when a big black cloud just rains on a cemetory. Why in most films do people just watch something bad happen instead of thinking "I'm getting **** out of here or exist stage left".

I'm not saying it's crap, just that not everything makes sense. I only started watching properly this season. Used to love classic Dr Who but haven't been able to get into new Dr Who. Seen episodes here and there but there are a lot of gaps. I think the new Doctor is brilliant. Just need to go back and watch all the others properly!

Yeah it bothered me too. Like you say it was well meaning, so rather than being annoyed in future I'm going to kind of skip over that bit I think. I imagine for some people it worked really well.

I think RTD was as bad if not worse than Moffat for courting controversy.
But I agree with you that it'd be better for whoever it is to just focus on stories rather than sticking things into stories which they know speak directly to fandom and know full well will wind people up. Every time they do that it throws me out of a story I'm enjoying.

Was the Valiant rebuilt and I missed it?

Also, as no one should have remembered Saxon was the Master beyond those aboard the Valiant at the point the Paradox Machine was disabled and time reset, how would the scientist woman know? I would assume the Doctor, Martha and the others wouldn't have told anyone.

You have captured absolutely everything I thought about this episode and this series...except I felt Peter finally worked out as the Doctor in the last couple of episodes (not this one as he barely was given the chance, considering how it seemed to be based around bloody Clara)

The first half was ok, clever bits, but oh my god from the Danny reveal it just fell apart Last week, the first part promised so much but this week it was errrrrgh

I really really didn't like the rivers of blood in the morgue, not what I watch Who for, scared, creepy and mysterious, but not awash with blood

1. She may already be pregnant or my prefered answer, who says they do or have to?

2. "Bossy control freak paired with the man who can't be controlled. You would go to hell for her and you did" was something like the words used to explain it.

3. They are constantly upgrading as explained in Nightmare in Silver. Plus, Mastress helped them to assist her plan.

4. The cyberbrig (shiver) clearly intended to kill her. If she telescarpered it would have been her intention and design to do so.

5. Don't know if it is Santa v Aliens yet as we have only seen brief clips that told us nothing.

I think this is a Moffat problem, In general I think he is a really good showrunner but the guy can't write females to save his life. They all have to be fierce and feisty and not take take any shit.

While Donna was sort of like that, she was also incredibly vulnerable, kind and caring. Great character and great chemistry with 10 as well.

It's quite sad that there was more emotion in Danny's face before he removed the Cyberman face plate, a rubbish character, acted poorly whose attitude towards the Doctor never really did make sense.

It wasn't an amazing episode, but was better than last week. Poor inhaler girl.

I agree. Unlike Muttley, I can't skip over it. It exemplified why I have disliked so much of Moffat's tenure - he has no grasp of real emotion.

I'm pretty sure if I had lost a child, and he returned years later the same age as when he died, i wouldn't be bothered. The fact that I had got someone I loved so dearly back would be enough for me. Can't understand why people are having such a problem with this. I know I wouldn't have an issue if my wife returned from the dead.

And - as was explained in the episode - their growth would be exponential. Absorbing the dead and the living of any civisilsation unlucky enough to be in their path.

I don't think it's a matter of it not making sense. More that the explanations they gave were so flimsy and nonsensical they went beyond the suspension of disbelief into 'okay that's just ****ing stupid' territory.

I mean...CyberPollen? Rain that instantly turns dead bodies to Cybermen (Danny changed within minutes) with no metal to use? Right....They could've at least TRIED to make is sound plausible.


Because...they still have their emotions? It was rather handwaved. I think there's a sort of reason in there somewhere but it was ignored in favour of emotional drama (which wasn't emotional because no one cares about Danny).

Because of....reasons. Gloating? She thought it would be funny? No idea really tbh. Considering she set him and Clara up so that Clara would bring him to the Nethersphere for her it did seem like she didn't actually need him there. A lot of effort for nothing. I assumed there'd be a reveal whether she got him to do something or he inadvertently let the Cybermen loose but it didn't happen.

The guards guarding Missy were about as effective as the guards in Monty Python and The Holy Grail.
