I rarely use the 'close all' function on my Z3 (or G3) but I don't see any reason for it not to at least BE an option for those that do wish to close everything.

If I put it in priority mode, it seems OK but no notification light now.

Engadget's review of Lollipop suggested that you can switch that off in the browser settings, so that it doesn't show web pages in the Overview.

Excellent, found it. Browser settings, turn off merge tabs and apps

OK sorted the silent mode thing. You have to have sound on and then go into each app and change its notification settings. Not ideal but it's a workaround.

I use my Nexus 7 infrequently so haven't really been keeping up with this update. When I do use it however it's very quick and stable.
Listening to the problems mentioning on here I'll hold back for now, even though the update is ready on the notification bar.

On my N7 (2012) you have two launchers (and can change via settings/home) and one is old-school, the other Google Now.

Not sure why you'd ship with two, but I think Google has bigger problems right now - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-30116319

My Nexus 7 is doing exactly what others are reporting. We all know it's always had problems with the storage/TRIM issues, but they were mostly solved and you were generally fine if you didn't get close to using up all the storage.

But now I have problems all over the place, and everything can be DOG slow. Apps can take 5-10 seconds to start. And killing tasks (which you generally shouldn't do) doesn't make any difference either.

I hope when my 2013 version gets done (LTE model) that this will all be fixed.

The Nexus 5 seems pretty much okay though, so far.

that's due to a new chrome setting.
you can turn that off and return chrome back to normal tabbed mode.

Here is a weird bug. I get it on my nexus 5 but I think it happens on other devices as well

Long press the home screen and hit the widget button, then select any widget.

Then double tap the back button. !!

what is the bug you are experiencing, as nothing odd seems to happen when i just tried it.
unless your instructions aren't precise enough?

1/ go to the home screen.

2/ long press on the home screen. You then get an option for wallpapers, widgets and settings.

3/ click on the widgets button

4/ click on any available widget, then quickly hit the softkey back button twice....

can't get that to do anything.
not saying you lying, just that i can't seem to make it do anything out of the ordinary based on those instructions.

might help if you actually say what it is you see when you do that.

After you select the widget, wait a second or two, then tap the back button twice.

I'ts 100% reproducible on my nexus 5 running lollop.

All I will say is be prepared to have to re-boot the phone.

this'll be the third time i've asked you to describe what actually happens.
i'll keep asking until you actually do it.

Not really a clever idea to ask people to try something, if its going to lock there phone up.
A warning on youre first post would have been a good idea.

plus how did you manage to push those buttons in that order in the first place, to achieve a lock up?
What were you trying to do find the need to push that combination of buttons?

How sanctimonious ! I made it clear it was a bug so I take no responsibility if people try it.

It either freezes the launcher if you want to know or in some cases you get some interesting graphical screen tearing.

Every one else I know gets the same issue who has been on lollipop.

I would say it's a pretty serious issue if you can lock up the phone in a relatively simple way.

And finally, we get what was asked, would have saved a lot of questions if you would have put that in youre OP

As jonner101 (eventually) described, it basically throws the launcher into confusion as to whether it's on the home screen or the App/Widget drawer, and tries to display one over the other.

I've taken a video of it in action here (it took a couple of attempts to get it to trigger - it's not something I'd ever have stumbled upon!).

Just got it on my Nexus 5. Downloading now...

Got it OTA on my N4 two days ago. Update process took around 2 hours, 30 mins to downloads, 20 mins to apply and rest of time to update apps (I presume ART was compiling them ?)

So after 2 days of use first and foremost. Battery life is significantly better. Not just talking about a couple of percentage, more like 30% to 50%. And battery app is much improved and when you are charging it gives an estimate of time left to full charge.

Notification on lock screen is useful and you can turn them off on app by app basis. Pull down is significantly improved including toggling the hotspot which does not require drilling through a million menus any more.
