Hi Pet, Anton always seems to have a great warmth and connection with all his partners, he is lucky in that he has great natural charm and a very powerful magnetizm about him, I guess thats why the public love Anton so much

Add to that the complete over-reaction of one particular judge - who ceased to be a judge soon after.

Judy won't withdraw - she is from a fiercely competitive background and withdrawing will be the last thing on her mind - which is how it should be, whilst the viewers want to keep her there then she has a right to stay.

It's now become the Strictly tradition - 3 or 4 'Ringers', 3 or 4 'Duffers' and the rest of the field of varying ability inbetween, some of whom will not improve and will probably end up leaving before the most popular of the 'Duffers' and some will improve and will end up doing better than the initial 'Ringers' in the end.”

Hi Allycat, it is the dance off that spoils the show, they should let the public decide, the judges should just be the side show between dances to give us time to make a cup of tea.

Judy will not need to pull out. People are now going to start voting for the best dancers rather than those they want to survive the early rounds when those at the top get big enough scores to see them through.

I've been voting for those in the middle like Steve and Sunetra with the odd vote for Caroline, Pixie or whoever is actually best. Sadly, the week Thom went out was the first week I didn't vote for him.

Judy and Alison don't have long to go.

She's absolutely honest and realistic about her lack of talent. She'll be gone soon and thankfully so will Anton.

I see the very real possibility that the public will save Anton and next week Alison shall dance off against a proper stage-school dancer like Mark and I shall just laugh "Mwahahaha" like a Dungeon Master

NEWSFLASH
Rumours that Terry had pulled out of this forum out of fear of becoming threadstarter champion, were quashed today.
In a surprizing Q& A session when asked if he had considered retiring,he explained

"Yea,I wondered whether I was getting too prolific, drawing attention away from less absurd posters, but then I figured the number of replies I was getting was a sign the public still wanted me back week after week.."

Are you sure it is not the great English public who are keeping Anton in?

Exactly I know no one in Scotland who is voting for her, I think she will be safe this week and leave in the Blackpool show .. hope I,m wrong though I dont want to lose a good dancer.

I'm not sure he'll go all the way with Judy - he might suffer premature ejection.

I usually can't wait for the non dancers to leave the competition and that is definitely true of Scott, Greg, Tim and Alison. When I saw Judy on the launch show I was certain she would be the first to go. However I love Judy's attitude and her partnership with Anton so I find myself in an unusual position. Each week I find myself enjoying their
performances and I hope they have done enough to stay for another week. Soon the serious part of the competition will begin and we will watch them all getting stressed, exhausted and emotional so I will continue to enjoy this lovely partnership. They are having fun and they are giving me an enormous amount of enjoyment. No one should drop out if they are being voted through. John Sergeant dropped out be cause he had work commitments he had to fulfil so it suited him to drop out.

We could lose Alison. That would be ok.

Good point. I have a feeling the judges will be doing everything they can to see her through to Blackpool. There you have to be able to sell a routine and she can certainly do that. She is doing the Charleston this week where footwork is more varied than many dances. Swivel apart it can often a free for all with lifts and acrobatics. She may struggle with that aspect but with with clever choreography Aljaz could disguise lazy or non existent footwork.

He's NOT dire and he IS funny. Love Anton <3

Unfortunately he had his own agenda. Loved John, so unintentionally funny.

Absolutely! Anton is very popular with the public, he always stays in far longer than his partners deserve. He is pure gold to strictly - who else would take on the no hopers and deliver such entertainment!
Judy appears to have no sense of rhythm whatsoever, although there is nothing wrong with her footwork. She is extremely lucky to receive so many votes each week

Hi Terry - what kept you?

Just hope Judy outlasts Alison as she has had to stand so much more criticism which she has taken with a smile and I think Judy puts in a lot more effort. We shall see. Anton is funny . I loved him saying that illegal lifts were done to keep Judy's feet off the ground. Absolutely hilarious.

Hope Judy outlasts Alison also, she's much easier to listen to and actually gets criticism unlike Alison who the judges mollycoddle.

Hi edy, its good to hear from you too, when everything else seems bland and nondescript Anton is a highlight of Strictly Come Dancing every year.

That is a very sweeping statement, some of us can't stand the irritating little man, I just hope that this is the last series that we have to put up with his gurning, and unfunny remarks.

What dark forces are there in Strictly land with the return of Terrys OP's and Brucie coming back at Christmas?
