I don't care about the stage school bit either but why try to hide it? Honesty is the best policy surely?

I'm not sure about Towie, some say it's scripted, some say not.

Don't know why, but talking about Mark always brings me to tears

I'm neutral to Mark but somebody please put karen in a mental hospital pronto.

It's not positive in the slightest, it's a poster being really rather rude and ridiculously smug, essentially giving Mark's fans a bad name. Frankly I think the OP should be ashamed of their attitude!

I like Mark, and Karen, but I wouldn't go boasting about liking them before anyone else, or insulting other posters who either don't like him/her/both or have just started to like them. Everyone's entitled to change their opinions!

Well, it's not just a Mark fan with a terrible attitude. There's absolutely no need to be that rude about anyone!

i didn't know he was hiding it.

anyway, going to stage school is no indication of any previous training - as an adolescent he may have had no interest in dance, or wanted to avoid it. maybe he always had a note from his mother or something. 'please excuse mark from dance class today he has an ego to nurture'.

Neither like nor dislike. There's something a bit 'acted' about Mark, I feel, but then, on the other hand, I think he's acting himself. Is that what TOWIE is/was? One of my friends is completely sold on him but I don't get it personally... I'm more drawn to like Simon or Jake of the guys who aren't Steve, who is my favourite. Maybe I'm marking him down a little cos I really enjoyed Karen with Hairy Dave last year. It took me ages, likewise, to forgive lovely Thom for not being the absolutely lovely Mark Benton...

When I say Bruno is nuts (he really is!), I mean that kindly and with warmth... I'm not sensing that here??

I like Mark I,m enjoying watching him improve every week, his dance at the weekend was great and I voted for him for the first time but Jake is my favorite male celebrity.

Hate the negativity.

They are both excellent dancers.

Dear Maggie

I think it is unnecessarily over egging the pudding when it is obvious who has posted

Yours sincerely

It was a joke, Mark brings me to tears because he's cried twice, and Karen looked crazy when she was safe on Sunday with her make up and none stop jumping.

Jesus, you guys are so sensitive.

still don't like him. Mark is a crybaby and Karen is just OTT with her celebrations.

Well you keep on not signing letters and emails just because they are already headed with your name, if that is what you actually do, which I doubt.

Personally I would take a dim view of someone sending me unsigned letters and emails using the reason they were already identified. I think correspondence should be signed.

Mark is getting to be a great dancer.
I worried when he got Karen, as I thought she would give him comedy routines - being used to teaching 'Hairy Dave' - and it seemed that she would with the Superman Paso.
But luckily she now see's Mark's potential.

Sure, he may well have had some stage training, but no one (apart from him and maybe a relative or his teachers) can say how much of the training was dance and exactly how intense the training was.
Many of us here will have had some sort of dancing/acting training as a kid - either in school, or somewhere our mums dumped us on a Saturday morning. Doesn't mean we know anything about dancing. We may have been messing around with our mates instead!

I tend to believe it when a judge on SCD says that Mark had no dance training before appearing there (if that is in the sense of real dance training).
I am usually a cynic, but it isn't in anyone's interest for Mark or anyone on SCD to lie about this.

Well his dancing was energetic and clumsy to start with but energetic and clean in the last two weeks. Lets see how he does with a slow ballroom dance next.

Starting a thread to say you are smug about something? Not a good idea! Plus, we don't all love him thank you very much. He did a good but overmarked dance.

Karen is ok, but Mark?......

When the line up is announced I find most years that I know very few of the contestants. I had never heard of Mark, Caroline, Pixie, Frankie , Scott, Simon, Thom or Alison. But this means I have no pre-conceived ideas about them either. I like getting to know them over the weeks. Funnily enough, the ones I did know, or had heard of anyway, were the first to go. I like Mark because he seems very pleasant and keen to improve. I think he appeals to the mother in me. I didn't even know what Towie stood for - clearly I lead a very sheltered life. So for me his emotion appears genuine, and until it is proved otherwise I will continue to believe that.

You're not 'signing' it though are you? <pedantry>

But if it keeps you happy who am I too criticise

I don't see it as a big deal but supporting Mark Wright now that is worrying.

A nice gesture, though you only generalised a bit. Far worse things get said in this place all the time.
