What is even more worrying is your hatred of Mark.

Methinks that the lady doth protest too much?

I like Mark because he seems very pleasant and keen to improve. I think he appeals to the mother in me. I didn't even know what Towie stood for - clearly I lead a very sheltered life. So for me his emotion appears genuine, and until it is proved otherwise I will continue to believe that.”

This. In spades!!

I did know who most of them were when they were announced but I prefer to judge them on their dancing abilities and enjoy the ' journey'. Personally I abhor Towie, Geordie Shore and programmes of their ilk and it never ceases to amaze me that intelligent people watch such drivel. My 20 year old Daughter loves Geordie shore and she is an intelligent young woman so it must be a youth thing!

I too like Mark and feel he really wants to do well. I thought the Superman Paso was awful and was worried he would go at that point but happily he has improved since then and deserves to be where he is.

Perhaps Karen is just happy to be kept in week after week after she was stuck with deluded Hairy Biker last year. I certainly don't find her annoying. Just enthusiastic. I do feel people can be so intolerant of such trivial things tbh.

I've never seen TOWIE or Made in Chelsea and don't watch soap operas so consequently, hardly know who most of the contestants are. I knew nothing about Mark and was amazed to hear all the negative things about him because he comes over as a nice lad. My neighbour tells me he is a good friend of that Tweedy fellow who married Jade Goody (sp) just before she died, and was his best man.
I've not voted for him, but I enjoy his dancing each week

I find him the opposite Might be because I watched him in Get Me Out Of Here. I think he's very genuine and down to earth.

I'm not sure that's any endorsement given that Jack Tweed is a racist thug.

That's a bit rude to another poster, isn't it?

From another thread (unsurprisingly about Mark Wright):

As I have commented before, that poster's over the top hatred of Mark is even more worrying.

You are right it is a generation thing, and Mark is only 27.

My gym manager is 30, and I was shocked when I mentioned that Paul Newman was my favourite actor, and he looked at me blankly. He had never heard of him!

Tbh, I hadn't heard of the song before. Sounds like it might be a good one for a waltz.

I wasn't singling out one poster, I was talking about Mark's supporters generally, I never mentioned this forum.

You see the difference, I was not being rude to another poster as you keep doing. You need to let it go. I would say your continual criticism of me is very worrying but hey ho.

I think if this had been said about Janette you would be upset/annoyed about it
