I have been asked to get a cost for replacing a back cover (white) for the iPhone 5C. Do you what sort of cost Apple would make to do the repair. I know a local independent will be cheap but I need an idea of the Apple repair cost please.

Apple won't replace the back cover on its own as it has the phone's IMEI number on it, and it contains the phone's chassis, meaning the phone would have to be completely stripped down to replace it.

The best you'll get from Apple if the back cover is damaged is a swap for a refurbished one for £199.

Sort of. It's due to a in car phone holder (made for my phone) scratching that back of the of the phone so they've asked for a cost for the repair.
