Darren & Lilia (really should have been Zoe & Ian)
Tom & Camilla (Rachel & Vincent were never going to win but were truly spectacular)
Chris & Ola (as unpopular as they were, Ricky & Natalie/ Ali & Brian would have been infinitely more deserving based on dance ability alone)
Louis & Flavia (Hmm... I really liked them as a couple but they didn't wow me as much as Kimbo and Pasha)
Abbey & Aljaz (again, I loved this couple but Natalie & Artem were a different league to everyone in that final)

Len - you know, the judge that knows all about the filthy Argentine Tango - recognised how good Lisa was and gave her a 10, with Rachel and Vincent about to come out and dance their AT, because he knew no-one could dance it better than Lisa.

I used to think that Rachel danced rings round Lisa and Tom, but I've got tablets for that now. I think I better go and take one.”

Do you think you could pass a few over to me please

What we have to remember is that Len says Lisa was the best female dancer on SCD Evah.

I dont think this is a spiteful thread! However, all the matter of personal opinion and preference for me:

Darren and Lilia (Colin and Erin - drat those puppets!)
Tom and Camila (their show dance was very good but much preferred Rachel and Vincent)
Abbey and Aljaz (personally preferred SEB and Brendan, after they went switched allegiance to Natalie on the basis of her showdance, brilliant)

However, no real complaints on any of the winners, all danced much better than I could!

Chris & Ola (Ricky & Natalie were so much better, chris was )

the others Tom and Camilla, Louis & Flavia and Abbey & Alijaz were actually pretty decent dancers even though some others the same years were actually better.

They all deserved to win because at the end of the day they won the public vote. End of.... yes even Chris Hollins.

The sooner some of you guys realize that this show is not strictly a dance competition, the better . It's a combination of dance talent, personality, chemistry, popularity that wins you the trophy.....

You can be the best dancer in your serie like Natalie and still lose because the public either don't like you enough or your chemistry with your pro.

You can be the best dancer in your serie like Chelsee for example and still lose because you unfortunately don't have a rabid fan base.

It's what it is. The best dancer doesn't always win this show. Just like I expect, pixie, Caroline and Frankie to all fall short at the final hurdle ( I would like to be proven wrong though )

I would have preferred Ali Bastian and Rachel Stevens to win over Chris Hollins and Tom Chambers, but there you go.

It shows the power of the Showdance - Colin Jackson lost because his was so bad and Tom Chambers won because his was so good.

Mostly the right person wins, though.

Louis Smith. I'm still annoyed that Kimberley was robbed.

Are you kidding?? Snowdon was AWFUL.

It isn't a spiteful thread, it is a thread where you can give your opinions on who shouldn't have won and who should have won instead. I should have named this with "in your opinion on the end."

I agree, I think Louis started good but was very inconsistent. Also, in my opinion, his showdance was just gymnastics rather than dancing.

It might be worth a thread to have a go at who the judges have booted out in the dance off probably against the public's wishes...

Ah Olive, I'm not being rude to you whatsoever, however I really don't think the OP was at all being spiteful....just expressing an opinion on who they thought should have won.

For what it's worth....I wished Rachel Stevens had won...I was

*tries very hard to keep quiet. fails.*

Both showdances had bog all to do with the final result.

Yes, Colin's was rubbish and Tom's is the best received showdance across the series but Colin never stood a cat in hell's chance of winning and Tom was always going to win by a country mile even before said dances. They simply added a little soothing balm to both results.

Like others have said, none of those who won, even the dancing wardrobe and the hobbit deserved not to win. They got the votes, they deserved the glitterball.

In the case of Darren Gough at least, though, those who voted for them are all on my list. I am hunting them down one by one. They will be forced to watch his cha cha cha followed by his quickstep on permanent loop accompanied by a soundtrack of me screeching "SEE, SEE! THAT EFFING JOURNEY LASTED SUCH AN EFFING LONG TIME DIDN'T IT? ONE EFFING WEEK. EVEN LISA EFFING SNOWDON HAD A JOURNEY THAT LASTED ONE EFFING WEEK!" like a harpy.

For those on here - just because I haven't got round to you yet, doesn't mean I don't know who and where you are. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I need to stop typing now. There's a woman approaching in a uniform with a beatific smile on her face and a syringe...

Agree with you on all of those. Darren Gough got it, in my view, because of Len. Tom Chambers I never understood apart from the fact that people took against Lisa for some reason which was odd as she and Brendan were magic together. Rachel Stevens was also exceptional.

I took against Lisa because her Latin was a bit carp. (40/40 for that blinking cha cha? Really?) Her ballroom was lovely though. Well, apart from that slowstep. And even that was well danced. Just very slow.

Of course another reason people took against Lisa is because AUSTIN WUZROBBED!

Two interesting things from that clip. How much better Bruce was back then - makes you realise how much he deteriorated. Secondly, how much Matthew is missed. Can never understand why they got rid of him.

Have to say I have no complaints really about any of the people who won.

There may be a few years where some people feel some person should've won other than the person who actually won- but I don't think the gap in quality was/is enough for people to see it as an injustice.

I have to say though I'm glad he won that year but I think Tom was certainly helped by the judges sending Lisa Snowdon through to the final over Austin Healey.
Austin was much more popular with the public and may well have won if he'd reached the final whereas Lisa Snowdon was never really that popular with the public and was never going to win and so her rather than Austin being in the final certainly helped Tom.

Strangely, or maybe not, I was happy with all these winners and think they deserved to win more than the people you suggested.

But to be a bit boring - yes they all deserved to win because the public were voting for them.
